Re: ultra mirage full face mask cd
Have you done the "Teflon tape fix" to your Quattro?twostepper wrote:does any one know where i can get a umff cd, my dme did not provide me with one and is no longer in town, i have not used it for 2 years and want to refresh myself on the proper way to use it if possible, i have been using ny new quattro ,but have lots of leaks, i cannot feel them from outside, but show up on the charts, out of 6.50 hours of use last nite almost 2 hrs. of leaks, will try other mask for a while, i was thinking about maybe getting a headrest mask, dont really like ff mask, wasnt expecting so many leaks with them, thank you twostepper
If not, go up to the Search function and do a search on "Teflon". You'll have some reading, but it's pretty simple. First you need some plumbers' Teflon tape......applied to both ends of the elbow (about 3 - 4 wraps) in the front of the mask (after you pop it out of the front of the mask and off of the hose connector).

To get the elbow out of the front of the mask, just pull it straight out. It may take a little effort, but it'll come out......might help to give it a little push from the inside of the mask, too.
