I have dealt with Turner Medical http://www.turnermecial.com with fantastic responses and prompt shipping in all three (3) purchases. While they haven't offered the extremely low prices of the suppliers mentioned above in this thread... they do deliver in every aspect. I find that paying a bit extra for predictable reliability and professional service makes life a bit easier and with less stress.

It appears to me that Turner Medical is a full-stock distributor of the products they advertise for sale online, and are not a table-top, drop-ship distributor.

Also, check out Reseller Ratings http://www.resellerratings.com. There you can check to see if a vendor is listed and read the experiences and opinions posted by actual buyers. Though, many online stores are not listed yet, many thousands are listed. Over 14,000 online vendors are listed, with more added weekly.

If this all works out I will be happy.

Julie told me the exact same thing last Thursday ... I guess I should have asked which Monday as there are about 52 of them this year alone

Ouch! Well, I'll give her this one but if I get the same answer next week I'm cancelling and going to Turner Medical!

I will also vouch for the excellent service and response from Turner Medical. They were VERY good to buy from.

Has anyone cancelled their Med1Online purchase of SPO 7500 and managed to get a credit card credit in a timely fashion?

thanks,
Mindy

Purchase from me?

Post by Arizona-Willie » Thu Feb 07, 2008 2:05 pm

I am tempted to order a pulse oximeter from another source.

I doubt I will ever see the one from this medi outfit.

They've been jerking me around for over a month now.

In the event that it does eventually show up ... would anyone be interested in buying it from me for my cost + postage ( not much )?

On second thought, having two of them I would be able to compare and would then keep the one I liked best and sell the other one ... price would be $250 + postage ( not much ).

Hey Willie
If you get it and it turns out to be an extra let me know. I'll take it off your hands. I thought maybe you folks would finally get them but I am begining to wonder seriously. Sounds like they may be holding out for that extra $125. Rather than pay the extra Turner Medical might be a better bet.

Willie, which company are you having the problem with? Was it Turner Medical? Or was it Med1Online?

Problem

Post by Arizona-Willie » Thu Feb 07, 2008 2:27 pm

It was Medi1Online.

I just placed an order for a different recording pulse oximeter and paid for overnight delivery. Hope I got the order in in time. It was 3 PM on the East Coast so hopefully they will get it out today. So I should receive it tomorrow or at the least Monday ( Saturday delivery was extra over and above the overnight charge ).

I may wind up with two oximeters. Or, on second thought, I may just cancel the Medi1Online order---I think that is what they want us to do to let them off the hook so they don't lose any more money.

Not sure if I want to cancel before receiving the second unit ... but if I don't they might ship it ( yeah right ).

Devon Medical

Post by Dgrendahl » Thu Feb 07, 2008 5:10 pm

A couple of days ago I purchased an Oximeter from this location:

http://www.devonsuperstore.com/detail.aspx?ID=203

for #299 and it comes with software, etc. Check it out! I did a search on this site to see if anyone else has any experience with it but could find none. Your thoughts?

Devonsuperstore sells Non-FDA approved pulse oximeters. They say they are "FDA" but you can't find most of the oximeters they sell on the FDA approval list. They are Chinese and it seems that Devon is the only company selling them. You can verify this by trying to search for the "FDA Approved" oximeters they sell on the FDA website:

http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/c ... MN/pmn.cfm

The PC-60 and SPO 5500 are the only two FDA units I could find. The scary part is that if you have a problem with anything Devon sells after 7 days then you are screwed.

Devon Return Policy:
http://www.devonsuperstore.com/customerservice.aspx

So if you have a problem 8, 9 days later who do you call? China?

Not all return polices are good. Isn't turner 15 days?

Isn't most stuff made in China?

Where is the SPO 7500 (which is not on the FDA list) made?

Seems to me that most stuff is disposable anyway. Can you imagine what it would cost to repair a SPO 7500, where ever it is made? Probably more than original cost. You might was well buy cheap.

I believe the SPO 7500 is made in Israel.

I don't want to pick this apart too bad but.......is it ASSEMBLED or MADE in Israel? Some folks are suprised when they find that 99% of components are made overseas but assembled in the USA.
