Apria boasts about their service...
If you can stand watching all 20 minutes of it, here' a video of a lecture given by an Apria employee to a marketing class....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6fifpTR6OM
IMHO, the best part is the "problem" section when he's talking about the problems people face on CPAP and the amazing steps they take to bend over backwards for their patients.....

oh, no.. you've got it all wrong lolblarg wrote:Yeah, I like how the guy sounded like a cheezy used car salesman during the cost analysis portion. And who actually GOT options from Apria? I don't use them, so I dunno, but uh, yeah.
this is "corporate" stuff....
if i didnt leave the movie too soon, they
were "role playing" on how to land the
BIG FISH accounts
Yeah, I know, and marketing is marketing, but personally, if I were the VA, and I got that sales pitch, and then I saw what they were actually doing, I'd sue them.
"You said you'd save me X amount because you'd offer people options. You don't offer people options. I have proof and people that can attest to it. It's in the contract since I had it put in there specifically, and it's not only costing money, but it's putting you in breach of contract."
That'd be fun.

"IS the VA going to MAKE MONEY on this deal?"
and "WHO is actually going to purchase these machines?"
not sure the guvv wants to have pining ambitions
to make money while we've still got troops abroad,
and many coming back injured, or worse.

Wow - I sat thru the entire thing! Amazing stuff. Especially when they talked about the number of choices in masks and machines they offer their patients. Seeing as how I wasn't even offered a choice of machine (even though I had faxed and called in exactly the machine I wanted) and when I came back to pick up the correct machine there were only 2 choices in face masks I'd say they were full of horse puckey!
Heck - they even did a sales pitch on me - telling me why they were such a great company because they had over 500 facilities across the country so wherever I was if I needed replacement parts or something broke I'd be able to find a facility. WTF.
They didn't come to my house as I was told they would. I wasn't fitted lying down as most of the fitting instructions tell you you should do as a final step in fitting a patient. I was sitting up in a chair and she turned the machine on and told me to move around and see how it felt.
When I asked if the mask didn't work for me if it could be replaced there was a lot of hemming and hawing. I have yet to find out what will happen when I request a new mask next week. We'll see.
I felt like I was watching a used car salesman's marketing video... and these are being given to our vets "because they deserve the very best" pshaw! Shame on them.
