I did it!!! I broke the 8 hours barrier! + other topics

Post by kteague » Mon Mar 12, 2007 7:57 am

Last spring or summer I made it up to 6 or 7 hours a few times, but it was always piecing together 2 hours here, an hour there, and those times weren't even good sleep.

I've been trying real hard to get back on a regular sleep schedule. Still need to resolve my limb movements, which are still untreated at this time, but last night's numbers were as follows, with maybe 5 very brief awakenings.

Time: 8.14 hours
AHI: 4.3
AI: .3
HI: 4
Pressure: 10.8
Leaks: 0.14

College Girl, I'm doing the happy dance with your little penguin avatar!

Kathy

Wow, that's a milestone, Kathy. So glad you made it to this point. And I'm dancing right along with ya. (wonder if one could make the little penguin dance with another little penguin, as an avatar....)

Congrats! ... So I guess you will be trying for the 9 hour barrier now?

Kathy

Fantastic! You give me hope. I admire your stick-to-it-tiveness! a Great inspiration!

I have been at this for 3 months now, and I have regressed to being lucky if I get an hour of sleep a night with the mask. My best so far has been 4 hours about a month ago, and a couple of weeks ago I made 3.5 hrs. I give it a go each night and just can't seem to get comfortable enough to go to sleep. aaargh.

But I plan to hang in there! Thanks for your encouraging story.

So let me send encouragement to you.

Kathy,

Does this mean it's pork chops for dinner? Seeing as you finally snagged the greased pig, that is!

Way to go and I wish you many more restful nights.

Mary
