Re: Husbands new Airsense 11
I haven't personally dealt with this specific issue, but I've read that accessing the clinical menu and adjusting settings there might help. Have you tried reaching out to the manufacturer's customer support? They might have a solution or be able to guide you through the process.

Good find Van!! I wonder if that setting was enabled by default or enabled by the DME?vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 9:52 pmThere is a diagnostic test it runs to check if it's making an unusual noise... you probably want to turn that off.

It was enabled by an over-the-air update... and turned ON by default, of course. Good old Uncle Nick (beloved around here : ) dealt with this some months ago.Grumpy48 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 8:54 amGood find Van!! Basically it allows RM to monitor how their new machine is lasting. You have to build the thing as cheaply as possible so that it expires right after the DME replacement period. Note that this is 5 years, not the 2 years warranty period... you see, that's the problem with the beloved Airsense 10... for the most part it keeps going, and going... and going... until it reaches the 22,000hour 'motor life exceeded' message (7 years of 8hrs/night), where it keeps on going, with the nag message which you can safely ignore.
Everything about the 11 (except the tub) is built cheaper than the 10... the motor is half the price, the case is smaller and lighter and filled with sound foam (because of the smaller cheaper motor). The 180 swivel was expensive... gone... so now the incompatible hose connection has a leak problem when pulled to the side, as anyone would. The case is lighter, with more of a rounded form... much easier to tip on the nightstand. OK, this has become a sickness with me, I'll try to stop. But... wait... there's more! I do not recommend the 11, get a 10 while you still can, prices are going back up, the big sales are over... I bought a cheap C2C (399$), an even cheaper Elite (299$!), and had insurance buy me an Aircurve 10 vAuto. I'm a firmware engineer so I can make these things do whatever you want, ASV, whatever, if you're in Central Texas PM me. Used prices on Craigslist are about even with the 11 now in my area.

The tub looks like is is built to fail too, It has a very soft rubber connection to the machine. Before I canceled my automatic supplies last year, I made sure to get a spare tub, vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 9:19 amIt was enabled by an over-the-air update... and turned ON by default, of course. BTW, I still have my unused spare tub from my Airsense 10 AutoSet.

Actually, putting the silicone piece on the tub is an easy way to assure that it's replaced with a new tub. It's also a way to assure that the tub is not compatible with the 10 series. If you look inside the 10 you'll see that both the innie and outie holes for the tub have the silicone... the outie part is replaceable and is not expensive... I've got over 22,500 hours on one and it's still going strong. The new tub for the 10 resembles the 11 in that the heater plate is circular. It looks cheaper to make but I think it's probably an improvement and should be much easier to repair if it starts leaking at the seam. You have an old AS10? Those are gold, do not discard, new motors are 130USD on Amazon, cheaper on Alibaba.prodigyplace wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 9:22 amThe tub looks like is is built to fail too, It has a very soft rubber connection to the machine. Worthless call. At the very best, they would only refer her back to the DME.SirGaspAlot wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 8:43 amHave you tried reaching out to the manufacturer's customer support?

I thought abut that but replacing the motor does not reset the warning, It is currently my spare. I will replace the motor when it fails, I guess.vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 9:42 amActually, putting the silicone piece on the tub is an easy way to assure that it's replaced with a new tub.
