what time of day will you die from sleep apnea
With how hot my wife's sister is, I'm not going to die of sleep apnea.
Liam. You wonder why my FIRST wife left.

Actually, that makes me want to KEEP the apnea. I've always preferred the idea of dying in my sleep to having to be awake and terrified.
Like the old joke, when I die, I want it to be like my grandfather, peacefully, in my sleep.... not screaming in terror like the other people in his car.
Liam, feeling morbid.

Well, gee, I hope I don't die of sleep apnea.
If I have to die of a heart attack during bedtime hours, I sure hope I've got one heck of a fun and racy reason and story to go along with it!
Why does the regular population have greater numbers of heart attacks in the 6am to noon period? I had heard that before. Is it because of a sudden burden on the heart in rushing to your day, after a nightime period of rest for the heart? I never really understood.
I do know that before treatment, I would wake up several times a night and notice my heart was racing like I'd just run a marathon. That had confused me, for I knew nightime was a time when the heart was more at rest. So this thought about dying overnite from sleep apnea sounds possible to me.

I am not ready to toss in the towel!
Thank you so much for posting the articles but I am so new at this yet and I find that I am befuddled on this issue a little bit.
My doctor did speak to me about the chances of dying in ones sleep and what the causes could be from. I guess I was still to numb from all the other stuff he was saying.... to fully comprehend what he was saying to me.
I guess I just assumed since I am going to get the Cpap machine, that everything was going to be fine then and that would prevent me from me maybe pushing daisies!
But after reading the articles about dying I must say I am more confused then every LOL if that is possible.
Now can anyone straighten me out on this? I assumed the machine was used to protect us from that happening, but does that mean it could still happen even if we use the machine?
Please bear with me on this stuff because like I said I am so new to this and have so many questions about all this.
Thanks for any input.

don't fret about dying in your sleep, just get your c-pap and get started on a treatment. You will feel better, but best of all, you're helping your own health, and longevity, imagine the damage of yrs of neglect (unknown) that apnea quietly robs one's system. I'm a fairly newbie of 2 mos. Initially felt better and more energized, but now am fighting fatigue. Point is, we're not a machine, we have to just go forward with the cpap lifestyle, and know that many many people are out there on cpap.com to guide you along with answers, tips, hints, whatever.
Hang in there....I prefer not to think of dying in my sleep, but rather waking up tomorrow morning... Beat them out of another day!!
Good Luck!
