My pressures are not very high but I do get some noise from the P10 exhaust vents if anything gets close to it, i.e., the blanket or a pillow gets pulled up near the exhaust vents. The air seems to ricochet off things and make noise/blow in my eyes.
1) either you're not using a P10 or you've never had a non-diffused mask,
2) start your own thread about it.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to add context to your previous one liner post. Do you also have suggestions for how to bring my ahi down? I did some reading and apparently CA isn't really impacted by increasing pressure.
Post some charts.

Sometimes CA's transition apneas that are a byproduct of disturbed sleep, has you go from sleep breathing to awake and back to sleep.

If you don't like my brief and to the point posts, don't read them, Pugsy has excellent advice and she types a lot more than I do. :) You have a choice.

Thank you for your reply @Pugsy
If you are having a lot of awake/arousal related centrals then we would advise trying to figure out what is causing the arousal and fix that.
I'm not really sure what other factors could contribute to waking up breathless with heart racing. I've changed my screen habits, reduced my food and water intake, I do not smoke/drink alcohol. I'm trying to zoom in on this issue from the apnea side and look at the data in OSCAR, but as I've said it's overwhelming and confusing, so I really appreciate all the clear, fact based feedback and actionable advice.

I posted my Oscar results on a new thread, but I think I need to re-upload as there are issues with the default format. It appears that I have an approximately even number of CA and OA. So while the CA isn't helped by increased pressure, in your experience is the CA helped by increased pressure?

Now this is becoming OT for the thread (which I initiated lol), so I don't want to draw people too deeply into it.

Thanks again,

You can change the topic of the thread if you wish to reflect the direction it has taken.
It's a lot easier for us than trying to bounce between multiple threads.

I would rather have everything we discuss, no matter how off the wall, be in one concise area.

Central apneas that are true asleep centrals won't respond or be fixed or reduced by more pressure.
More pressure only helps the obstructive stuff...now sometimes the obstructive stuff can actually cause the arousal and THEN you might have the arousal central and in that case reducing the obstructive stuff might also reduce the centrals IF those centrals are arousal centrals and the arousal was from the obstructive event. Sometimes arousals are the by product of the obstructive event.
We can't fix true asleep centrals with the machine you are using and as long as you don't have a truck load of them we don't need to.

The original post was about the OP having issues with noise from the vents of the P10 and she asked if anyone else had had this issue. I do use the P10 and at times the exhaust air makes noise and wakes me up if the vents get covered by blankets or pillow. I don't know about waking a partner up, though. The P10 is really quiet compared to other masks I've had. Anyway, since then the thread kind of evolved into a different direction. Sorry if I offended you.
