Re: Trying to dial in CPAP- have charts
chart from last night
3 hours with cpap (raised min to 10). 3 hours no Cpap (woke briefly took off for min and then fell back asleep on accident)
overall feel: 6.5/10 (compared to normal/no apnea)
compared to recent: 9/10
no dizziness, some brain fog and concentration problems, able to work ~ 3 hours . Will take a few hours off and probably be able to work another hour later. Could probably work 5-6 hours if needed today. Trying not to push it, last week has been a wreck and still recovering.

don't be in a hurry to raise your pressures. give your body time to settle in. give it a few nights(even up to a week) before trying to raise it.thebearproofsuit wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 11:16 amanother night. AHI up to 5

i know, i know! it's hard to be patient. i've been there myself. but in this case it's true that slow and steady wins the race.
continued good luck!

So no mention of how you actually slept....wake up often? Did those leaks cause wake ups?
How you slept or didn't sleep is critical to know.
Do you take any medications of any kind (even OTC) and if you do, what are they?
Roughly half your AHI is central/Clear Airway apneas. You can't do anything about them except maybe reduce EPR and see if that reduces the centrals. It will only help if exhale relief is triggering the centrals. Personally I doubt that it is but you could try reducing or turning off EPR and see if it changes anything.

Re: Trying to dial in CPAP- have charts
I don't remember waking up, seemed to sleep all the way through the chart I posted. I did have a little 30 min sleep session with no ahi an hour before this chart but I left it off. This happens often and it's frustrating that that's the sharpest i feel all day. I wake up feeling ok and thing great! then look at clock and it's 2am and I only slept for 45 mins. then I sleep another 6 hours straight and feel foggy.
for the most part I'm not bothered by mask and tend to sleep straight through other than an occasional 30-45 min false start and then wake up......my issues is walking up after only 3-4 hours and then being wide awake and just getting up. I'm not waking up multiple times in night that I'm aware of.
I have been waking up on my back in the morning more often recently, it seems like the only times I feel halfway normal are when I get 7 hours of stomach sleep with ahi 3 or less.
Meds:
Levothyroxin for mild -thyroid issue, started taking 6 months ago. discovered thyroid levels were borderline when investigating sleep fatigue issues, seems to help some and now fatigue seems very closely tied to sleep issues.
Claritin for mild dust allergies and a spray (nosacort) for that as well...pretty mild allergy but it helps with cpap nasal breathing.
taking liptor for cholesterol but not for last couple weeks, need to get refill.

Re: Trying to dial in CPAP- have charts
brain fog lifted a little , I'd say feeling more like 6.5/10...could probably work half day if it was a workday and push through for 6 hours if needed.

Re: Trying to dial in CPAP- have charts
improved throughout the day...I'd say 7/10 by afternoon. mild brain fog, mild lethargy.....but vastly better than previous weeks have been. might be an accumulation of a few days halfway decent sleep adding up. I took this week off work just to rest up and recover.
fingers crossed
I have had this pattern before though...one good week thinking things are getting sorted, then a couple bad weeks where I can barely read a paragraph or type one paragraph. We'll see.
notable is I think I woke up on my belly., not on my back. I slept face down on a stack of pillows so was a bit elevated. took a mild dose (1mg) of melatonin. (I use maybe twice a week)

latest....slept rhough woke on back.
moderate brain brain fog, no dizziness, some lethargy (could be partially due to less than 7 hours sleep)
overall feeling 6/10.
