When I wash the tank, I use about a half ounce of cheap vodka after the final rinse.
The vodka gets swished around and left in the tank until I fill it in the evening.
It's only a little bit, and the smell is rather refreshing.

I am so glad I came across this site and post. I just started CPAP two weeks ago and was thinking about this so clean machine. Yes, I too saw the William Shatner commercial lol.
I was skeptical of the machine and I also got a note with my machine about those types of cleaners and the equipment warranty being voided if they damage the machine. Still was thinking about getting it as it sounded easy to use. I am now glad I didn’t buy it!

Easy is unscented baby wipes--been using them on my masks for years in between sudsing.
Save the "real" wash job for the real dirt.
Unnecessary effort is like unnecessary expense.
Somebody benefits--but it's not you.

I have heard it is recommended to dump out the water everyday so mold cannot grow in the tank and give you a respiratory infection. That’s what I’ve heard, if I’m wrong someone will definitely correct me they know everything here lol
One hears a lot of things, most of them are based on ignorance, but they're spread anyway.
