This is interesting to me. I switched from a ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset to a ResMed VAuto Aircurve and got very different numbers for inhalation and exhalation times, with the VAuto showing shorter inhalations and longer exhalations. I have cardioballistic artifacts in my flow rate, meaning that my heart beat telegraphs to my airway and produces small oscillations around the zero line when I'm between breaths. (See attached.)

I always assumed that the machines differed in the way they identified the beginnings and ends of inhalations and exhalations by using algorithms that treat those little oscillations differently. But Lightweaver, your flow rate doesn't show cardioballistic oscillations at all. So the difference between the algorithms for the two machines isn't what I thought it was.
