Any advice appreciated - Oscar details included

Post by Kdog25 » Tue Apr 28, 2020 5:45 pm

Hello. I'm new here so don't beat me up too much. I mostly feel I do ok with my CPAP but feel like I can improve. I usually feel pretty rested (some days maybe not as much) but I feel like I wake up during the night more than I should. Anything stand out? Any advice based on the following? I can add more if needed. I read the newbie stuff so hopefully I got some of this right. Thank you.

EDIT: Whoops -- totally wrong. Your period breathing and Obstructive Apneas and Hypopneas are coming together. Not sure why that's happening.

What mask are you using?

Others will come along with additional suggestions. Welcome!

Chris

Dream diver what’s your opinion on patients having only small short bursts of non restorative REM without muscle Atonia? I have this. I know you are not a doctor or anything, I’m just curious

Thank you. I have an airfit f20.

I paid attention to that on my machine Over the years. It always said 0%. This is the first time I’ve used the software to run the data so I was surprised to see that was an issue.

I’ve had a blowout here or there when I wake up and move/tilt my head. So maybe that’s part of it? I’m pretty sensitive to leaks and would think it would wake me up but maybe not.

Actually - I was wrong about the large leaks. Looking at the line above it - which is periodic breathing.
Not sure why so many events are clustering, but I'm sure someone will have some clues that are better soon.

Be careful listening to dream diver and others on the forum. Many of them are known it all wannabe doctors.

Just simply saying that many are pompous individuals who talk down and act like they can critique and define things

I'm am unfamiliar with this combination of interesting words. Anything I could say would be pure speculation. I'm not willing to do that.

Hypno,

It may not be easy to remember, but what you've just done is called "hijacking the thread." It's sort of an unwritten rule not to do that. (Actually it's item number 2 on Pugsy's list of things for newbies.) If you have a specific question about your own concerns, it's always appropriate to start your own thread about your concerns. Why not ask your question in a new post and ask the general group. You may get more useful or a wider array of answers.

Chris

That’s not typical of you but people can have non restorative REM (short bursts, seconds to minutes) without muscle Atonia. And they can have jerks, myoclonus or dream enacting behavior. in many patients with neurological , degenerative disorders .

Enough. Stop it. Uncalled for and disrespectful and certainly not funny.

You get one warning and that's it.

No more crap talk about anyone or anything like you have done in this thread and others.

You just want attention and to disrupt the forum and that's going to cease or you won't be able to post anything here.

One warning...that's it. People who just want to disrupt the forum and yank chains and play with people...don't last long here.

For these last two:
Are you getting much actual sleep on these nights, or did you feel like you're simply lying awake some of the time?
