A good number of days now and I am having very good success with the higher minimum pressure setting...thanks for the help and suggestions.
Thanks for the followup. Hearing that you're having much better success is what makes this all worthwhile.

Are you feeling better? less headaches?

Headaches BY 80-90% thanks to the help of you and this board. AHI consistently well under 1.0. Interestingly, the Sleep Doctor had no idea a person could figure out how to adjust their own therapy settings but was happy to accept my therapy efficacy findings and apply those to my official prescription.

Unrelated mask update. Really like the Simplus...it sees to be wider at the corners of the mouth. I really have no big issues with any of those that I now have in rotation. F20 AirFit and AirTouch, F30 AirFit, Dreamwear FF and now Simplus. I suppose I am lucky to not have many mask issues. Only thing that does work for me are the nasal options as I am apparently a knuckle dragging mouth breather.

4 more months and all is doing very well. AHI is always < 1.0. Headaches gone. Only remaining issue is mask leaks in the early AM hours that seems to be correlated to pressure increases around that time. Snugged the mask down a little tighter, moved max pressure down just a tiny bit and removed the Cflex/Aflex which seems to have worked. I really think removing the Cflex/Aflex made the most difference for me since it appeared to allow lower max pressure needed to keep the airway open. Similar results on the primary Dreamstation machine and the Resmed Autoset I have at the lake. Also pretty good results with the AirMini when traveling although I am finding I prefer the F&P Simplus mask so I broke down and ordered an adapter to convert the AirMini port to a "standard" hose.

Thanks to the forum members.

Almost a year since my last check-in. Using the Simplus mask mostly,,,F20s for traveling. A lot more leaks lately so tried a fresh cusion and same issue. Moved pressures from 9/14.5 to 9/12.5. Seems like the machine is ramping to higher pressures more quickly...perhaps jsut leak related. Anyone have thoughts on problems/issues in the charts?

Lowering your max pressure doesn't help anything. Infact, it restricts your machine in how much therapy it can provide for you, should you have a rough night. It happens man, mine is set at 14 / 20, on most nights I'm around 15 or so, occasionally I've seen it spike up to 18 or 19 and I think, damn man....wow, guess I had a bad night..you never know. The higher pressure limit changes nothing in how the machine delivers pressure to you, up until it actually needs to reach up and touch that ceiling. When I first began, after a month my doctor tells me he needs to raise my max from 15 up to 20 because I was banging against the limit every single night and suffering from apneas while getting pressure.

Aside from that, it sounds like your doing good.
Yay :D For no more diaphragm cramps and dozing off while driving!

The things that jump out to me are leaks they can be high at times, also your having the machine reporting vibratory snores (VS) which indicates more minimum pressure needed prob 10

The leaks seem to be when the pressures get higher. I think I will try 10.5/12.5 for a while and see if it helps. The AHI seems pretty darn good and not many hypopneas, just hate waking up to my mask hissing like crazy. I wnat to let the maximum go as high as needed but itrading that for the mask leaks does not seem worth it.

You are having some large leaks even when the pressure isn't all that high.
Look at the time where the first large leak is flagged and look at the pressure line. It's essentially not increased at all.
The little tiny saw tooth looking increases in pressure are just 1.5 cm pressure probes....not high pressures at all.

Set the max back to 20.

Pressure *NEVER* goes up in response to leaks, in fact, auto machines will *LOWER* the pressure if the leaks are too bad.

I will experiment and report back in a few weeks. i will on the Autoset with F20 Toucnh for the next few days then back to the Dreamstation with Simplus for a week or so after that.

Any reason swapping machines and then back, many people find much better results with the Resmed

I tried adding a C-Flex EPR setting of 2 and that seems to work sicne the mask leaks were aloways on exhale. I think this may be the winning ticket.
