Why the bathroom breaks?
Need to pee often during the day?
Male and of an age the prostate is acting up?

And yes...I would gladly take that AHI.
Were you maybe on your back from that 1:40 time frame?

I drink a lot of water during the day and then at dinner, so I assumed that was normal. 2 bathroom breaks is not normal? Also not sure if I was awaken by the need to go pee or just something else woke me up.
I am a 33 year old male, if that makes any difference at all.

I only sleep on my back all night. Maybe 5% of the time on my side.

Re: Newbie here, just want to some help and encouragement
Most people can sleep through the night without having to pee unless something else is going on.
Now there is a difference between "having" to pee as in painfully full bladder and just waking up and figuring "I might as well go pee while I am awake".
"Having to" is a common symptom of sleep apnea....painfully full bladder because the kidneys respond to the stress hormone put out by the heart when under stress from the apnea events.
Nocturia from my OSA was one of the first symptoms that I had that totally went away when I started cpap.
I always said that if I saw no other benefit from the machine than not having to get up and pee every hour on the hour (painfully full bladder each time) then I would still say it is totally worth it.

Hahaha well then huge win for you!! Definitely not a have to pee, just a wake up and say hey I am awake might as well because I "could" go. It's definitely better now with the CPAP.Pugsy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 11:39 amMost people can sleep through the night without having to pee unless something else is going on.

Re: Newbie here, just want to some help and encouragement
Sounds like it is habit for you and that may lessen with time.
With OSA some of your pee breaks might have been related to the apnea and you just sort of got in a habit of "wake equals go pee".
Maybe later the habit will lessen on its on as you learn to sleep more soundly. If not it might just be normal for you.

Ok that makes sense. I think over time the sleep is going to get even better. Based on my Apple watch (I know not very accurate), I got over 2 hours of REM sleep. I was barely getting 1 hour before CPAP. I hope to see some good health benefits too. I already feel better! Hoping this continues.Pugsy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 12:08 pmSounds like it is habit for you and that may lessen with time.
