but you won't silence me other then if you (not you specifically) drop it yourself.

USMCVet, you're totally right and I can't believe I let my irrational hatred of a product go cloud my judgement. I totally feel better now that I can see how clouded my perspective has been!
See I bet you feel better now ;)

Just because SoClean tells me something ....in this case that their device actually sanitizes or kills anything.... doesn't mean that I am going to believe them. I have NOT seen independent proof of their claims....nor do I really give enough of a crap about it to go looking.

Everyone here has a right to voice their opinion about just about anything here....and some of the people are very passionate about their opinions and they have that right.

They also have the right to be wrong and be passionate about it.

We have the right be even be delusional if we want....and the right to expect to be left to our delusions.

This thread is very close to becoming another personal pissing contest and that I just can't stomach again. We have beat this dead horse to death so many times I have lost count.

Desist with the personal crap or I will be forced to lock the thread or remove personal crap talk.

Agree to disagree and move on. Quit trying to force the other to say something they are never going to say and really mean it.

Those who know me....that means this is the only warning that will be given.

Meh, I'd already put mr argument where he belongs on my lists, 'nuff said.

I'm a little slow, but I eventually do recognize when I'm wasting everybody's time.

she just asked you to knock off the personal stuff.

at any rate, to put someone on your "foe" list-

find the users name in a post. let's use me as an example. click on the users name.

this takes you to the user profile, where you will see the options- "Add friend" or "Add foe".

click on what you prefer.

you'll be asked if you wish to carry out this operation.

click yes and the deed is done.

mind you, this isn't QUITE the same as blocking someone. again, with me as an example, if someone replies to me and quotes me, you'll be able to see what i said.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

I wonder what kind of things the soclean could sterilize if it were repurposed?

(Something we don't breath with or through would be best.)

Toilet brush, maybe?
Litter box?

These are two kinda gross things that would be worthwhile to sterilize?
I'm sure there are better ideas ~~~

What happens if you put dirty fruit from a grocery store in it?
Do you still have to wash it before eating?

Began XPAP May 2016. Autoset Pressure min. 8 / max 15. Ramp off. ERP set at 2. No humidity. Sleepyhead software installed and being looked at daily, though only beginning to understand the data.

The only thing it's proven to sanitize is filter paper... So that's not really useful.

My advice is to review the facts, through the ongoing litigation, about the misinformation disseminated by SoClean: https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/14 ... clean-inc/
Thanks Marko2019 for the link to Courtlistener.com. This was helpful to read.

Forget the pew, you're not even in the right church.

Huge difference between "sterilize" and "sanitize and disinfect". The FDA sees these as a universe apart.

SoClean has never claimed to "sterilize", they do claim to "sterilize and disinfect". Uninformed journalists, reviewers, and users use the phrase "sterilize" - which of course SoClean will turn their head at because it makes for good advertising.

Sterilization is serious business - something that SoClean simply doesn't do. They sell hope and fear - not science.

So again no one has been able to provide any actual evidence at all that so clean does not sterilize.

I agree it's a waste of money, I agree it could very well damage equipment and the users themselves, BUT I do believe it likely does sterilize as claimed.
A whole lot of investigation is ongoing before I spend a single dime.
