Never! Manufacturers recommend using soap and water only.

Many of us don't believe the SoClean is necessary, and even potentially harmful to the user and equipment.

CPAP manufacturers don't recommend SoClean or any sanitizing device.

I take it that SoClean calls their cleaning solution "neutralizer". It's use is to get the grime, oil, snot, slobber off your mask.
So how long to use it...as long as it takes to get rid of the grime, oil, snot, slobber, etc is probably sufficient. That's all it does.

Most of the forum members here don't use the SoClean...much less the SoClean cleaning product because soap and water works just as well.
So....maybe your question would be best answered by the device manufacturer and not by a bunch of people here who don't believe in using the device for any number of reasons.

What are the directions on the bottle of the "neutralizer" you got?

What part of these two responses are negative?

on this forum, we have a strong bias towards facts. we're NOT trying to be negative. that's your interpretation. but if you bring up the topic here, expect the "negativity" to commence and continue.

there ARE a very few here who believe so clean helps them. and more power to them. perhaps they will answer your question.

if the attitude regarding this topic gets on your nerves, i suggest you try apneaboard.

they will give you all kinds of sweetness and light, just not as much facts.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

I am sorry you got "taken to the cleaners", when ordinary dish soap/ hot water,
or even just an unscented baby wipe would have done the job just fine--way cheaper.
Some rabid proponents of soclean repeatedly troll this forum.
Sorry you were mistaken for one of THEM.
Welcome to the lifetime hosers club.
Sleep well, and blessings on you.

to me the part about being harmful ,and the neutralizer not needed..I know everyone has opinions but before I started using the machine I was sick all the time..my pulmonologist said lets give the machine a try ,they gave me one at no cost and I have been using it for about 8 months and feel like a new person..thats all..
im sorry for offending anyone and as a matter of fact I have received a few private messages from people who say they are glad I spoke up..im a good positive person and I am kind to everyone..I guess thats my story

We aren't "negative", just trying to warn the gullible not to be hornswoggled or bamboozled into buying these money-sucking, worthless products.
It's just amazing how people would be taken in by these charlatans. They're "snake oil" salesmen who have no consciences.
They don't "clean" anything but the wallets and bank accounts.

"Neutralizer" is nothing more than ordinary cieaner,
basically to wipe off the schmutz that the $300 device cannot touch.
--And another cash cow.
Cute, but not very honest.
