Resmed CPAP software

Post by jskinner » Sun Aug 18, 2019 9:55 am

I have been using SleepyHead for a long time to read my CPAP data. It doesn't seem to be working any more and is no longer being updated. Are their any other options?

Yes, OSCAR. It is a fork of Sleepyhead and being maintained.

I had an "episode" (woke up at 5:55am this morning, which was unplanned) so I plugged in my Sleepyhead data SD to see what was the issue. I had an OA where I didn't breathe for 10 seconds. Hence why when I awoke it explained why I needed to suck in extra air quick to get more oxygen in the system! I was thinking maybe I'm getting CO2 washout, but nope. Anyway I digress. I logged into Cpaptalk and see there's NEW software to use that is being maintained OSCAR. So I downloaded it, pointed it at my SleepyHead folder and it imported all my data since day one.

It was seamless and only took about 3 minutes from start to finish. So my point is really, it's EASY to start using OSCAR.

Now if I was only to read my data and understand better what's happened and how to avoid it!

very well said. i was hesitant at first to get into oscar. but i could see which way the wind was blowing here on the forum. it would do me no good to say sleepyhead when everyone else said oscar.

bit the bullet, did it and it was painless!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

You know you can get education and advice from seasoned members by starting a new thread and posting some screenshots from your OSCAR reports?
