try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
I am trying to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out, but my supplier said it won't fit the Resmed autoset sense 10. And also said I need a new prescription for the doctor even it fit. So I must visit my doctor again, let doctor give me a new prescription for a themal tubing?

Hogwash.
More hogwash.
I suppose if you want insurance to pay for it..you have to jump through their hoops (they are free to come up with their own hoops) but do the math.
How much is the doctor's visit and how much is your co pay if the insurance pays for it?
Personally...I would just buy it from cpap.com or wherever because it does NOT need a RX to purchase a heated hose (or any hose for that matter) any where on the internet except maybe the yahoos that call themselves your DME.

Re: try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
sorry not familiar with the web, I just reported and can't see my post ....................
So it fit? it seems they are just trying to fool me around? I could feel the water is moving now during night and afraid it could be worse when winter comes. really dont like the feeling whenever wake up.
yes, I want the insurance pay for it and it's only $10 more than the other. The copay is only 20 dollars and seems not too much, but it's very time comsuming for visting the doctor for this. I would order it from CPAP.com then, since I want to order a mask from them.
Do we have some coupon now for mask or parts?

Re: try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
They are free to come up with their own stupid in house rules.
Doesn't make it right though.
Just be careful that you get the correct heated hose for your model machine.
There's the Climate line for the S9 model
and the Climate line Air for the AirSense/AirCurve models.
S9 heated hose won't fit the AirSense/AirCurve 10 machines.
I have owned both...S9 and AirSense 10 heated hoses...and they do indeed fit and no RX is required...wasn't even required from my DME and no...I haven't seen the doctor in over 9 years.
No problem about the reporting by mistake. I can fix that easily. I sent you a PM essentially saying what I said here.

Re: try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
As far as fitment goes, I will say this. I have two fairly close serial numbered Air Sense 10 Autoset machines and two Climateline Air hoses. One of the hoses has the little orange stripe on the machine end fitting as shown in the link and the other does not. Although it can be persuaded gently to fit, the hose with the orange stripe is a much tougher fit in both machines than is the plain gray hose, which slides in effortlessly.

Re: try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
I had a rainout issue when the weather turned cold. I sent my doc an email and he sent the order to the supplier. Ordered, billed insurance and had it in a couple of days. Might be worth trying—don’t lose but a few minutes if your doc says no.

Re: try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
I am not sure the AirSTART machines support the heated hose. It might not.

Oh crap...do you have the AirStart machine and not the AirSense machine?
I was basing my comments on this
Exactly which model do you have ?
the AirSense 10 Autoset
or the AirStart 10 Autoset?
The AirStart is the el cheapo model from ResMed...minimal data (if any) and doesn't have the same climate control options as the AirSense.
Might be worth it to go to the doctor if the new RX is for a machine that is heated hose capable.
Otherwise there are some options...hose cozy or stand alone heated hose.

The tube that you need for your machine (the one in your profile) is the "SlimLine Tubing."
BTW, tube and hose are synonyms in the CPAP world.

Re: try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
I am not sure about it now. will check with the guy give to me tomorrow.
The option on my machine for the tubling is "SlimLine Tubing" and "standard", should there be something else for this option? something like "themal tubling"?

Re: try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
No...there isn't any special option for the heated hose.
Machines that are heated hose capable automatically make the necessary choice once the heated hose is attached.
Those choices pertain to diameter of the hose only.
Look on your machine....do you see AirStart or AirSense?
AirStart (which you have in your profile) is NOT a heated hose capable machine...
AirSense (which you mentioned in your first post here) is a heated hose capable machine.
