Thank You Rested Gal for all you do.

Post by SelfSeeker » Sun Nov 05, 2006 2:31 pm

I have been thinking of thanking RestedGal for awhile for all she does on these boards.

Since Birdshell wrote this post in another topic, I thought there is no time better then now to write my thank you post to Rested Gal.

I have learned so much from Rested Gal's detailed informative posts.

I love it when she post the links that contain links to many similar posts. I try saving them and reading them.

I love the detailed explanations of your reasoning, it is easier from me to learn that way. I learn better with these explanations, because I try to follow the reasoning of what you are trying to tell us.

Many times it is repeated information but it is there all together for us to read and learn from.

Rested Gal, I am grateful for all your patiences when I first started coming here and asking questions about sleep apnea and CPAP machines.

With the knowledge you shared with us, I was able to decide on a machine that is right for me, and I am able to be a better informed patient.

There are many others who also help, so please keep being yourselves. Thank you to you as well.

One day I hope to be rested.

Once again, Thank you Rested Gal.

It won't be easy, but I still think we can forgive you just this once...or twice, as the thread unwinds.

Thanks again for all you do. I, for one, do not know how you do it all!

You ARE allowed to be human. Although your canine friends will be perfect (NOT) , you need not be perfect until at least next year.

You guys left out generous, giving, knowledgeable, and modest.

She is truly a wonderful, wonderful person, and an amazing resource, and this board would not be the same without her.

Your suggestions and history of clear explanations are tremendous. Thanks for all you do to help so many.

Lately, a number of posts have regretted the bickering and nastiness that can land on these forums. But the real news story is the quiet and frequent serving that goes on every day, post after post, by a number of dedicated people.

Seriously intentional acts of kindness. Thank you to you all.

I agree College Girl.

I am not good with words, but I feel the emotions and feelings, it is good to have others say everything I did not write.

Actually I was wondering if I should even start the topic. I did not want to make Rested Gal feel uncomfortable or anything.

But so many of us love seeing her smile on all those great posts.

I want her to know how we feel about her.

Oh, she'll be modest and demure when she reads it, I'm sure, and say (either to us or to herself) that she doesn't deserve such recognition...

But she wouldn't be the same person if she said something like, "Dude! Y'all are SO RIGHT! I am just AWESOME!" now, would she?

(Though I would probably PAY to hear that! )

Because of RG, I didn't throw in the towel and give up the whole thing. She helped me figure out that my pressure was too low, and when I bumped it up a bit,I was able to continue therapy.
She also provided links about GERD that helped my doctor to realize what was going on with my breathing problems.
She may have saved my life.
I'm so grateful for her and those like her on this board.
Thanks for taking the time to recognize her.

I am extremely grateful to Laura, her willingness to share and her compassion is quite evident. Your assistance when I was floundering can never be forgotten. You are a special lady and I thank you.

It would be nice if newcomers could eventually find a Rested Gal link under the CPAP FAQ section up top. I wonder if anyone besides me ever pondered what a formidable task that would be: she probably has more useful posts than anyone in the history of apnea message boards. In my book she deserves to be the toast of the town.

Rested Gal is a good 'un as we Northerners like to say... .
