I can't vote either but if I could I would say I came for 1 & 2 but then stayed for 3 and the one Jeff left out which is the pure entertainment value you get by watching how people behave when they know you can't see their face or reach their throat.
Is it like talking on the CB radio? The wild, wild west on the internet.
It has been said that character is how you behave when no one is watching.
Does that mean this place has character? You be the judge.

The main reason that I am still here is that it keeps me going on my own cpap even as I have issues here and there.
As a secondary reason, I really enjoy being able to help others succeed. If I can help somebody improve their settings or mask fit and that helps them stick with it and feel better, then awesome. I know that many others can do the same thing, so I may only help a few people with my personal comments, but it is nice to have the opportunity. I know once I helped somebody fix their mask. Something had stuck, and I recognized the problem and helped them solve it. I got to loan a power cord that helped somebody. Hopefully, I have a helped a few others over the years. In my family, I helped get my mom going again, and later, my brother.
I do confess I have stepp back a bit since it has gotten nastier. I don't check daily like I used to, and I don't post as often. There are some people that I am tempted to respond to, but I know it would do no good.
Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

1, 2 and 3 are the only reasons I post. I want to continue learning about my OSA and how I can best treat it. At the same time I've been far enough down the track that I think I can post some helpful advice to new members though that might just be wishful thinking on my part

I find it to be the same with humans.

You know I never thought about it that way but I agree with you. Good point.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I don't vote!
I thought I'd made myself clear on that.
Besides, there wasn't a choice for me to vote for (as usual) ... I don't know why I'm here. I think I'm lost.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

CB radio is easier to find the user, Most times the person is local usually with-in ten miles. The signal is directional, you can triangulate it location by using a directional antennea and signal strength.
Even on the Internet, like the Wild West, you can be shot down, or even ambushed. Jim

You mean, mobile phones and Waze haven't killed off CB yet?

I haven't used one in 15 years, I have 6 units, 3 are new 10 meter ham portable units I modified to 11 meter, 20 years ago, they also are side band, and F.M. I used to be in it heavy, now it's computers. Used to be I wouldn't talk, CB's brought me out of it. Jim
In the Zombie uprising, I'll be able to talk to the other Fools still living. No mobil phones unless you count my truck, dropped that service. I can make antennea out of wire and scraps.

Ok. I admit it. Six handheld CBs. Twelve FRS radios. Three scanners. But these days, Waze is all I need for the road.

With the FCC changing everything to digital, we will finally be able to talk on them. All of mine were illegal, but I never believed in using amps, had one in the truck to make contact with home, but turned it off after connection made, it overheated fast, finally burnt up. I worked 35 miles from home, used it to ring home. had a little fun...
