I guess it's just a good thing that I never agreed to electroconvulsive therapy. I might be really irate.

Hi There; Even though some here are making a good attempt to help you, this is a specialized forum for people with sleep breathing disorders, mostly
sleep apnea. So far it doesn't sound to me like your questions are sleep apnea related. So may I suggest a more generalized medical forum such as patientslikeme.com. You can join it for free.
Hopefully people there can steer you in the right direction.

Sorry if I was unclear... I've just recently been diagnosed with OSA myself... after years of unproductive treatment for another condition.

For most people CPAP is the only thing that will help with sleep apnea. Its something you gotta do. It takes some time to get used to but when it works it does wonders.

I was on The Citadel. Earliest was T.I.E.S. timeshare system in 1974.

Those were the days, we used to dream of 300 baud modems. We had 110 acoustic couplers you had to dial and stuff the phone handset into them. Throwing the punch dots from the teletype paper tape used to be fun though. I'm not even going to get into stacking punch cards, mainly because it would bore everyone silly.

Anyway, it was a convention even back then to, if possible, not use all caps and try to make it readable.
You beat me for sure, thanks for more proof about forum/board etiquette.

I can tell you now
The one bit of respite that I have ever had from my Synesthesia was when I suffered
..... the intractable Insomnia & the incurred Hallucinations due to Sleep Apnea

Thank GOD - I'm NORMAL again - & can SEE my thoughts & feelings again !
Can you normal human beings, who cannot tolerate the unconventional, say as much ?

And unfortunately for the Assholes who jumped me for being myself
I am NOT going to "hit the road" - I'm going to poke around with my Stick

When I see them Jumping a confused newbie with a feeding frenzy of their Insults

Unless of coarse they can arrange to have me banned
.

Do you understand you are making it 1,000 times harder for anyone to want to help? I can't stand looking at your stupid notes and don't care what you have to say because of your crazy need for 'art'! Can't you save it for someplace else?

Shame because there is some decent info here that people need.
Don't need Facebook for sleep apnea. Color me gone.

Have you tried this:

get into bed and semi recline with some pillows propping you up.
turn on a movie, or open up a good book
put on the mask.
turn on the air.

spend some time paying attention to the way the machine works, while you are awake.
move around, let the mask slip and get accustomed to adjusting it back into place.

go back to the movie or book.
let yourself drift off.

i'm getting a sense that your subconsious is convinced you're going to be smothered in your sleep, and you might overcome this by working it into your routine a little at a time and i n a way that is non threatening to your sense of peace and well being.

Thanking You & the many others here for your help and guidance

When I came here in early September I was admittedly a mess
41 episodes an hour with Oxygen Saturation going down to 78%
My AFib was becoming critical & I suffered an intractable Insomnia
where I was averaging only 2 or 3 hrs a night - This went on for months
& resulted in chronic fatigue & hallucinations

I was diagnosed with our commonality and was prescribed the Machine
I had trouble with it initially but with help from this community,
I am now well on the road to recovery

My beef is with the Idiots who complain of my Formatting and whom
I have seen attacking and attempting to humiliate & chase off other
Newbies from this forum - I know as they jumped me in a seriously
................................... weakend condition & still flutter about

If a person does not like how I post
I advise them to put me on their Foe list and STFUp !

Thank you, LSAT, for quoting the latest angry, barely intelligible, mentally disturbed, RANT.
Oh, look! --a CRICKET! Yummy!
