I tell my grandkids I'm 102... Really 77. I have fibromyalgia, RA, peripheral neuropathy and some other stuff. For a while I was headed to a walker and increased pain meds, etc. Now the walker is in the basement. I am working with a movement method which hydrates all of the connective tissue in my body. This has helped pain level to decrease a lot . I use a soft roller for part of my moving. My Lhasa mix rolls with me. The method is called MELT. They have a web site and Facebook page. I MELT pretty much every day. Also, Every two weeks I have massage therapy. For my body that counts as exercise.
Alas, it's too late to be homecoming queen.

MELT looks like a combination of yoga and self-message techniques (using soft rollers and balls). Another addition you may want to consider is acupressure/trigger point therapy (which also works on neurofascial system).

Thanks for ideas. I'm thinking about mild Pilates and a warm swimming pool. I don't give up. I'm also gluten free and working with a functional medicine pharmacist. I think I also need to have my bipap settings reevaluated. I slept in a recliner for 3 years. Now I'm in a real bed with my favorite husband and Charlie, the Lhasa.

Low impact exercise is always the better choice regardless of age.

Here is a YouTube video that explains how trigger point therapy works ...

I use one of these hooks which you can find almost anywhere online (Amazon/eBay) ...

I also made my own device with a tennis ball. I drilled a small hole in the tennis ball and then bought a cheap $1 fly swatter at the grocery store, then removed the flat swatter part and inserted the wire handle into the hole in the tennis ball .... so I can use it to place anywhere on my back (against the floor or wall). You can also drill two small holes into the tennis ball and run a cord through it like this ...
