7 indoor cats, 1 aquired outdoor cat. None are allowed where I sleep. Wife does the kitty litter stuff. The one in my avatar, does pretty much what he wants.

Thanks everyone! I got a 14 lb box of Scoop Away and also a box of Arm & Hammer Clump and Seal. Tomorrow I will stop at Jewel and pick up the Fresh Step they have on sale.

I have to dump the entire box again (second time in a little over a week) due to that Tidy Cat crapola! I scoop 2 to 3 times a day. Old habit from when my chihuahuas were still living and used to scavenge for cat poop. Only dogs I ever had that did that! There is just so much dark little granuals in the box now due to it not clumping and I can't handle nasty litter!

I think rather than bag the Tidy Cat I might just dump it outside near the groundhog burrow. Maybe the urine smell will make them leave

Cats will never care if you sometimes step where they barfed.
They do not shame you for being imperfect.
They understand you shame yourself enough.

Cats really like little frogs though.

I switched from the Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal to the Scoop Away because the Arm and Hammer wasn't doing a good job on odor control. Does a good job with clumping though.
Maybe you will have better luck than I did and at that time I only had 1 inside kitty.

We use the Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract for our two indoor kitties. One used to have a terrible habit of peeing in corners. I had tried all types of litters and so far this has really worked the best. It hides the smell, clumps and seems to last a decent amount of time.

Also, they have destroyed a few hoses in their lifetime. I now disconnect my hose every morning and put it in the nightstand until its time to get all hooked up. No more issues

I use Swheat scoop litter which is wheat. The cats like it, and it doesn't bother my allergies or asthma. Scoops fine, but I do have to use liners.

To keep dogs out of the litter, we originally put the litter boxes inside of larger, taller tubs. The cats can jump in, but the dogs can't get in. Also reduces tracking. We have since added gates since one dog was getting into trash. So, the dogs are no longer allowed to leave the main floor (while most of teh litter boxes are either upstairs or downstairs, only one on the main floor).

No problem with the cpap equipment. My mom sleeps in the living room with 2 cats. I have 3 cats who take turns on the bed. Nobody is scared of the machines, and nobody messes with it. I also travel to cat shows. I share a hotel room with a friend and her cats. One cat did swat the mask once in the middle of the night. But that was it. It was rather funny. I also visit my sister, and she has 4 cats. They don't mess with it either. And I can feel them walk across my leg or sit on my hip. So, I know they are around.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

I've had cats on and off for over 30 years and have always used Fresh Step. I switched to the clumping when I began having multiple cats.

One thing I don't like about it is it has a lot of dust. When you pour it, you almost need a mask! My husband does the pouring and never uses one.

When we went to 3 cats, I insisted that the cat boxes be scooped twice a day to keep the smell down. We had 6 until December and aside from cat hair on the furniture, you wouldn't know, by smell, that we have cats in the house. I attribute that to using a good litter (Fresh Step) and twice a day scooping.

My cats have shown little interest in the trilogy/cpap equipment or hoses. I have one cat that sleeps on my side, stretching out from my hip to my shoulder. The hose is laying over my arm when I sleep on my left side. She just lays right on top of it. Another cat likes to get on my chest when I'm on my back and he does like the air from the vent. Other that that, they couldn't care less about the hoses.

Sure, PR. I could do that and she would. But it won't change anything. Some other asshole, hiding behind anonymity of the internet, will come along and do the same thing. It's an endless battle.
