Re: What's your favorite over the nose nasal mask?
I'm actually far more comfortable with the large. You're more comfortable with the large, but the big question is whether the large is comfortable with you. Or, will it insist on leaking? BTW, did they let you try masks with a CPAP machine running to check for leaks? oh! this makes me think...did r...

Re: What's your favorite over the nose nasal mask?
Thanks for your replies. I had my appointment, and was actually allowed to test out some masks (I didn't know if I'd be able to do that - haven't in over a year). I tried the Dreamwisp, Eson 2, and N20, and the N20 was the most comfortable for me, because it touched my nose the least and put the lea...

Re: What's your favorite over the nose nasal mask?
But many of the 'over the nose' ones are 'full face' as well (cover the mouth) and it's best to sort out which are which when you ask about them. There are none called 'over the nose' as such but you can see all types on Cpap.com to help you help us identify what you mean. I am specifically asking ...

What's your favorite over the nose nasal mask?
What is your favorite traditional, over-the-nose nasal mask? WHY do you like it better than the other ones you've tried? If you have problems with your masks pushing on your teeth, which is the most comfortable? I'm most curious about the N20, the Dreamwisp, the Eson 2, and the gel masks, but open t...

Re: Under the Chin Face Masks & Long Full Face Masks
If you use a FF mask that is too large it will leak. Most FF masks are made so the lower edge fits in the groove between your lower lip and chin...not under the chin. I know they aren't meant to be used that way, but I have had some success doing it already. Whether or not it will actually leak dep...

Under the Chin Face Masks & Long Full Face Masks
I usually wear a full face mask, and I'm starting to understand my preferences. I prefer a mask that sits over my nose (otherwise sore nose), and I also prefer it to tuck underneath my chin (otherwise sore teeth). Due to a combination of factors, it took MONTHS to actually get the Fisher & Paykel Fo...

Re: Sizing Tool Reliability, esp. for Nasal Masks
Of course it's not. They want to sell masks that will never fit. I suggested using 3d imagery for no-touch mask matching over ten years ago. They do it for eyeglasses, but . . . GREED. Wouldn't surprise me. And wouldn't that 3d imagery be wonderful? Instead I had a Resp. Therapist watch me attempt ...

Re: Amara View vs. Dreamwear Full Mask - nose pain
Thanks for the suggestions. My one attempt with nasal pillows (the dreamwear) was a bust, but it's possible my sizing was wrong. I'm starting to think that I've gotten the wrong size of every.single.mask I've gotten so far (and I've gotten far more than insurance covers in the last 7 months). So may...

Re: Sizing Tool Reliability, esp. for Nasal Masks
I think the Comfort Gel is on the way out. Prices have been reduced down to $33. That would not happen if the mask was going to continue, Interesting point. Is there a nasal mask (over the nose style) from Philips that is newer than Comfort Gel? They don't make it easy to figure out which ones are ...

Sizing Tool Reliability, esp. for Nasal Masks
Do you trust the sizing tools for the CPAP cushions? Are some brands' more reliable than others? I'm struggling with finding good masks, and with the combination of covid restrictions and a very unhelpful respiratory therapist at my medical supply company, I haven't been able to try different sizes ...

Re: Fitbit - Resting Heart Rate??
Is it possible that your fitbit thinks that you are asleep at night when you are reading and watching TV? Does it calculate RHR using only waking values? ??? You seem to have reversed the issue I reported. Let me explain what I mean (in case you're still wondering about this)... I have an apple wat...

Amara View vs. Dreamwear Full Mask - nose pain
I've been testing out a lot of masks since I started CPAP earlier this year. so far, I can't stand the Resmed F30i - it always causes major pain under my nose (between the nostrils). The Dreamwear full face mask pushes a little more gently, but it still causes pain in that same spot. The Amara view ...

Is it possible that your fitbit thinks that you are asleep at night when you are reading and watching TV? Does it calculate RHR using only waking values? I track my sleep with my apple watch, and it often thinks I'm asleep at the end of the day when I'm sitting at the computer or watching a show. Ma...

Re: Mask Fatigue ?
Yes, I do. I haven't really found the perfect mask yet - I've been using CPAP since January. I've tried 5 different styles so far. Some cause pain at the base of my nose, and others feel like they are pressing too hard on my teeth or the top of my nose, and others leak easily. I don't know if everyo...
