Re: Stopping CPAP...?

I take it that you did without cpap for X number of nights prior to the home sleep study....Is this correct? Yes, I think it was 4 nights before or something like that. You mentioned having a spare machine. I have an Airsense 10 right now. If I had access to an 11, would that be a decent replacemen...

Re: Stopping CPAP...?

If you didn't have EEG leads stuck to your face and head then the device just guesstimated the sleep status. I wouldn't trust these results without valid sleep status determination. I just had the watch thing with the connected finger sensor. That was it. So now, my insurance won't replace my machi...

Re: Stopping CPAP...?

This is what came in on the study report. It says t hours and 25 minutes of sleep. There's no way that is accurate based on what happened that night, which makes me suspect of everything on there:

Re: Stopping CPAP...?

Here's OSCAR data that I pulled back in November for a single day. Let me know if I need to provide something different:

Stopping CPAP...?

Hey all, I've been on CPAP for maybe 10-ish years now and during that that have lost weight and such, so decided I would ask about doing another study. I did study, but it was a home sleep study, which I'm told aren't particularly accurate. On top of that, the night when I did the sleep study, we ha...

Hybrid Mask?

Hello, I've been using the Airtouch F20 for at least a couple of years now. Occasionally I have issues with the bridge of my nose, which is odd because it can begin without the straps even being adjusted, so I'm not sure what's going on. I have used the respironics liquicells for some relief, but ap...

Get a scooter battery

Search for U1 AGM Battery this should give you enough power for 1 night and is no too heavy to lug arround pair that with a 12v adapter for your machine
Enough power for *FIVE* nights, without humidity.
What if you did have humidity? Would it last a night?

Re: Getting humidity right

So I continue to have some struggles. I will say that even though some of the features on this new machine I have are great, I'm not as impressed by the humidity output, or tank size. With that being said, this weekend, I went out of town and didn't have any dry mouth issues, so I think I'm starting...

Re: Getting humidity right

Hose air temp setting is simply whatever is comfortable for you and prevents condensation in the mask or hose. There is no "normal" for anyone...it's simply whatever works for the individual. What is your hose temperature? I use a setting of 6 with my mask and I have to use 86 degrees hose air temp...

Re: Getting humidity right

The mask is an airtouch F20. I've had the humidity set to 4 and I have a dry mouth, but if I turn it to 5, I get dripped on.

What is normal for the tube temperature setting?

Re: Getting humidity right

I know this post is old, but I kind of have a followup to it. Originally, I had issues because i couldn't get the humidity just right, but now the issue has gotten worse. I wake up in the middle of the night with my mouth bone dry. I know it's using the water because I fill it up most days, but I'm ...

What is the temperature of your bedroom?
Well I think overnight our thermostat is set to 69, but our room is the least affected by the heater in the house and its winter here so it may be cooler than that.

Re: Getting humidity right

https://www.resmed.com/us/en/consumer/support/humidifiers/preventing-humidification-rainout-condensation.html Oh yeah I didn't mention my tube is also wrapped. I guess I could try to turn up the temp? I think it was 81 before but I saw somewhere it is recommended to be between 78-82, so I don't hav...

Getting humidity right

I have a resmed airsense 10 that is pretty new to me. I like it a lot but I seem to have more issues with my mouth feeling dry from it than my last machine. The problem is, if I turn up the humidity from 4 to 5, the dang thing starts to drip on my out the hose, which doesn't do much letting me sleep...

Re: Tips for surviving a camping trip without machine

Could I see an example of the battery? Are they specific to your model of CPAP, because the ones I've seen like that are very expensive.
