Re: ASV use the same blower motors? - S9 Adapt ASV

The Resmed machines are very good. Well worth replacing the blower motor. Yeah that’s another part of it. I love my machine and really don’t want to roll the dice on a different one, especially at ASV prices. I’m somewhat electronics savvy and until searching Amazon for blower motors on a whim assu...

They have identical hardware and different firmware.
Awesome, thanks! I honestly didn’t expect that but figured it was worth a shot.

ASV use the same blower motors? - S9 Adapt ASV

So my faithful Resmed S9 Adapt ASV is still ticking along like a Swiss car at 34,467 hours run time and of course has had a run time exceeded warning for a while now. The replacement motors for the S9 series are usually marketed as being for the “S9 full range CPAP” or they’ll list every model in th...

Re: FDA petition to grant OTC status to CPAP machines

Well, The vast majority of routine uncomplicated apneas found in a patient in an in lab study. (Like me) Were sent home with a pap machine that was set at the factory 4cm-20cm setting. And just let the machine adjust on it's own. That is a rubbish way to treat a patient. So, what's the difference o...

Hmm... I didn't think of getting the disc damp. Might have to try that.

HDM Z2 questions

I just got a Z2 to use for backpacking and tried it out for a couple nights. So far so good, I like it. I already miss my ASV but at least I slept all night. I tried searching but can't find anything, am I right that I'm stuck with their app and that there's no 3rd party software that will work with...

Re: Want to buy a used BiPAP

I haven't been active on here in quite a while once I got my ASV sorted out, couldn't remember if there was a classifieds and don't see one. We just went through massive furloughs and lay offs, and a friend at work just lost her job and insurance. We got her a cpap that's helping, but she really ne...

Re: Want to buy a used BiPAP

Thanks to everyone who replied, I've found a BiPAP that will work perfectly. And I did verify that she did, in fact, need a BiPAP specifically.

I thought it was only cpap, BiPAP, and ASV. My mom is her doctor, I'll ask her.

Re: Newbie says hello

Thanks! Looks like the SleepyHead software is the one to get? I have a ResMed machine and used to have a Respironics machine. I've used 3 different versions of Encore, ResScan, and a few versions of Sleepyhead. By far I prefer Sleepyhead. I'm currently using version 0.9.3 and its almost perfect. I ...

Welcome! This is a good place to come for help. So much info, I've learned a lot here and it comes quick. For me it's actually reassuring to learn and understand what's going on with my sleep.

Re: The Inner Circle:perception,conspiracy,reality??

How is this the first time I heard there's an inner circle? Where do I get an application? Or is it invite only? I guess I'll have to read the entire thread later lol. (Very upper class voice) If you have to ask then you obviously can't become a member. I'll pay your dues for an entire year if you ...
