Has your sleep time changed since CPAP?
I usually slept between 7-10 hours on average before being on CPAP. Do you find that now on CPAP, you sleep much less? I admit, I only had it for a night now (and only got 2-3 hours sleep max), but I am wondering, will I average less being on CPAP now? Since sleep quality gets better, does this mean I can expect something like a 6 hour night on average (assuming I get to sleeping through and not waking for hours at a time)?

Hi, I know I used to sleep in alot on the weekends, and during the work week was so groggy in the mornings (well all day really) but now I'm up by 6 or 7am tops, and ready for my day! It's amazing how much more you can get done in a day when you don't need to sleep in.

Hopefully I will get into that routine. I must say, I am surprised how awake I feel for only getting a couple hours sleep last night.

I've never slept longer than 8 hours...mostly 7-8. Before CPAP I was getting up 3-4 times a night to go to the bathroom. Since CPAP I might get up once. My average sleep time with CPAP is about 7 hours which seems to be pleanty since I don;t wake during the night.

The first couple of months I slept 8 -10 hours a night. It was like my body was sucking up sleep. Now I sleep 7 - 8 hours.

I've always been a 6-8 hrs kinda guy. Now I wake less times during the night (usually only once vs. many) so I am much more refreshed and alert during the day.

When my sleep is good fairly consistently, I wake up on my own between 7-8 hours. When my sleep wasn't or isn't good, no amount seems to be enough.

Well, I seem to be getting a little better at sleeping. First night was 2-3 hours. Last night was maybe around 5 hours or so of actual sleep. Both nights however I had to take a sleep aid. Here it is at 5 AM and I feel really awake and rested. Now it just comes down to trying to adopt a better schedule so that I am not getting up at 4 something in the AM.
