Sleepyhead problem

Post by Gabe » Tue Feb 14, 2012 8:15 am

I can't get the set up I had when I first got Sleepyhead. I don't get the graphs when I want the daily data, like: Events Flag, Flow Rate, Pressure, and Leak graphs, all on the same page. Appreciate help how to get them back. Thanks

I can't tell you how to get them back when I don't know how you lost them.

But you can try this...open SleepyHead and create a new user profile...go through all the same steps you did before and see if the new user graphs will show up now under the newly created user profile.
If they don't..SleepyHead may be broken and you might need to install it again.

You may have some how turned the graphs to the "off" position which hides the graphs. You can look in preferences..graph tab to see if the graphs are checked or not.. If you create a new user then the graphs should be back in place like they were with the original default settings.

I tried it, but it's still the same. Should I re-install it?

Yep, reinstall is all that I would know to do at this point.
Sounds like SleepyHead is broken.

I re-installed it. I get the graphs for all previous reports, but not last nights report. RT is coming tomorrow, so I put in a new SDcard, Could the new card cause the problem? Because I inserted the new one this morning and even the previous reports didn't have the graphs.

I've got 0.9.1 and when it says if I want to update to 0.9.2.1 it failed everytime. Any ideas?

When did you put the new SD card in? Last night or this morning?

Are all of last nights graphs gone or just partial? Putting the new SD card in will give you the data that is stored on the machine....no flow graphs at all because the machine won't store them and roughly 30 days of the other detailed data/graphs and past 30 days or so...only AHI and hours of use.

Perhaps the card wasn't inserted fully last night?? Perhaps just a damaged file?

I put in the new card last night. I got some graphs like Event flags, AHI graph, Flow graph on one page, but not the wave forms. Even previous days wouldn't show the graphs I had before.

Wave form is NOT ever stored on the machine. When you put a new SD card in the machine...it will write the data that is available (stored on the machine) to the SD card up to the point that it no longer has the detailed data stored on the machine which seems to be around 30 days and then it just writes AHI and hours of use to the card.

So your new SD card from last night has only the stored data from the machine from prior nights and then it should have the data from last night on it along with waveform.

Your old SD card has all the other stuff.
Using SleepyHead you will have to import the old SD card AND the new SD card to the same user profile and it will combine the data.

So you need to do 2 imports in SleepyHead from the 2 different SD cards but put them under one user profile. Then you will have all the graphs and if something is missing...I have no idea what else to do because the SD card should have them.

Doesn't the new card record only last nights data? Isn't it starting new? It gathers all of the data from the beginnilng of the therapy?

I inserted the old card and it picked up last nights data, minus the graphs I'm looking for.

It will gather all of the data from last night AND the machine will also write all the old previously stored data that is on the machine to the new card.
Gabe wrote:Isn't it starting new?
Nope...only new thing is the waveform that is not stored on any SD card and instead is written directly to the SD card when it is occurring.
Gabe wrote:It gathers all of the data from the beginning of the therapy?
Yep. It will gather whatever is stored on the machine and put it on the SD card.

The only way to start completely fresh...with a new SD card and not have any old data from the machine be put on the card is to go in and reset all the machine therapy data (which is stored on the machine) to Zero. Then no other data will go on the SD card. Machine therapy data (hours of use, AHI, leak, etc) can be erased from the clinical menu in therapy section.
I have done this when I have sent a machine to someone else so that their data and my data doesn't get mixed up together.

If you don't want the RT to see that you have been messing with things....the only way is to reset the therapy data to zero and then use a new SD card (or one that you have erased to blank) to gather new data.

I'm sending my SDcard to the VA and I'm not counting on getting it back, even though I asked it of them. So I thought I'd start a new card as I already have all the data on Sleepyhead and Encore from the start of CPAP. So I still will have to erase all the data from the machine and erase the new card too. How do I do erase it?

Why do you want to erase the data off the machine and start over? There is no need to do that at all.

But you can if you want to . You have the clinical manual and it tells you where to go in the clinical menu in the therapy section of the LCD menu and find the reset to zero prompt.

The VA only wants compliance hours anyway. You can send them the new card if you want to. It will have everything but waveform and they won't care about it anyway. You can keep the old card.
