What glue is safe for a temporary repair on mask hose part?

back to the OP - I also would use tape and avoid any glue, but then I am also chemically sensitive and would avoid super glue on a good day -

Yea, I am discovering that I can get kinky with my xpap.... lololol... and duct tape and black panty hose legs..... lolol.... but somhow, Gumby wont hush up, so I guess I will have to resort to other measures...... , got any idea Jules or SleepyCarol?.... open for suggestions......

Uncured Superglue (a brand name for cyanoacrylate adhesive) is an eye and respiratory irritant.

Cyanoacrylate adhesives were used to close wounds, including for certain types of eye surgery. Eastman 910 adhesive was used for quite a while for medical uses until medical cyanoacrylate adhesives were generally available.

I use CA (Super Glue) to build model airplanes. It gives off an aroma when it is curing which usually takes a short time. I usually use a fan to blow the fumes away while gluing or better yet use it outdoors. Breathing CA fumes frequently over extended periods can cause serious health problems. As far as I know it is safe after it has fully cured. I usually use glues like wood glue, ambroid, or epoxy if I am not in a hurry and can clamp things. Epoxy is usually stronger than CA and is less toxic, but it takes longer to fully cure. They make different types so you have to make sure the one you use is for plastic.

You didn't attack any cpap tubing last night I hope!!

Slap the mask on Gumby and tell him if that doesn't keep his mouth shut then the duct tape will seal the mask. Oh, be sure it is a full face mask -- or maybe the Oracle would work to keep the mouth shut.

Don't forget with the 6 inch heels you are going to need a 10 foot hose to use as a whip!!

Where is Aunt Weeza -- we need some good ideas here!!

I wouldn't use superglue. I used it once for a temporary repair on some safety glasses at work. 2 days later my eyes still watered when I wore them. Them fumes is BAD!!!

I actually didnt check back before the duct tape suggestion but that is what I did. I slept with my Liberty and duct tapes my NAII as backup in case my Liberty bugged me as it usually does - but I did keep it on but dont feel as well slept. The downfall now is that they cant repair it I have to decide whter to use my 6mo mask insurance allowance to replace my Tried and true NAII or on the headrest I want for when baby gets here. Hopefully when I get the Headrest (for borrow) from Laura (restedgal) I fall and love with it and the answer is simple. Heres hoping thanks for all the advice you fruit cakes.
