"messaging someone in the marketing department won't get far. If anything, the Chief Operations Officer would be the person to contact. Though reaching out to them would be beating a dead horse. Local and National News outlets are reporting on the issue, the health insurance companies are aware of the issue. Ambulance chasers have already started their websites for patients who want to join in on the class action lawsuit. Nothing much we patients can do, except either wait for our machines to be prepared or acquire a non-Philips Respironics machine."

@ 10Gauge: Whether he's the director of marketing, a newly appointed CEO or just an office manager making coffee, it doesn't matter, his priority is not communicating with patients one-on-one by email or phone. He was appointed by Philips Respironics' North American board of directors to financially lead the company by making prudent business decisions. Again trying to communicate with anyone in the corporate office is beating a dead horse.

Hello from HK. I just buy the Airsense 10 due to this recall. My local store imported it from the USA. I just unboxed it and found out the the ref and lot number on the packaging box is different from the sticker on the actual machine. I have ref: 37207 / lot: 1510491 on the box and ref: 37090 / lot: 1510552 on the machine. Both SN and DN are match. I am worry that this is a refurbished machine. Any idea?

Have you asked your local store?
Is there a supplier name on the box? If it shows a supplier name other than ResMed, I can check whether that supplier refurbishes CPAPs.

The box has ResMed’s name and logo and my local store said it is brand new machine. The SN is starting with 2321 so it appears to be manufactured in year 2021. I just don’t understand why the lot and ref number on the box doesn’t match with the machine.
Is there anyone with the original packaging box can help to confirm this? Thanks in advance.

My new machine bought last month has matching SN on the outer box and the back of the machine.
Did you check the Clinical menu > About > Run hours and see what that number was? Should be 0 if new (or 0 + however many hours you've used it) The outer box had been opened on mine, not unexpected since they likely have to take these out of the box to check that they power up, set pressure, etc before shipping. Perhaps yours just got placed in the wrong box for shipping? Or maybe the original box was spoiled in some way. My SN starts with 2320, but since I don't know their SN format it may not indicate it was manufactured in 2020.
If the run hours were 0 when you got it it's a new machine.

Lots of mention in this thread about data being encrypted, and also lots of talk about Congressional action. Maybe the current interest in “right to repair” will set some precedent in this arena as well, so we have the right to repair the most sacred equipment of all - ourselves.

My SN also matches as well as the device number. The run hour is also displayed as 0.
The only mismatch are the lot and reference number.

I checked again the other label with the LOT and REF on mine are a mismatch too, I hadn't bothered to look since the SN on the one label was a match. Sounds to me like you got new. For all I know the lot number on the box is the lot number of the box itself.

I believe lot/reference numbers may vary due to bundling offers.
--Whether/which tank, hose, etc. are included.
I could be wrong, though.

the boxes sometimes have a group number, like a 37273 is a threepack of autosets.
If the hours on the machine say zero, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks everyone. I guess I am just worrying too much.
