Old Machine

Post by PatW » Mon Jan 12, 2015 6:11 pm

I have an old machine that a friend gave me that I am going to keep around in case I need a backup. Can anyone tell me if this machine is data capable?
The pap and humidifier are all one unit, they do not detach. The top of it says Respironics, REMstarPlus M Series and there is a sticker that says C-Flex. On the sticker on the bottom of the unit it lists a model # 1022334 and under the barcode H000005604.
Thanks

The word "Plus" in the name means it is a brick!

As the frog said, it's a non-data-capable machine. ("brick")
But, as long as it's working, keep it for a backup. The humidifier SHOULD detach, if needed......but, as long as you don't have to, I wouldn't.

Give SecondWindCPAP a call 1-855-263-2727 and see if their still taking that model. I got $75.00 for mine about 6 months ago. They refurbish them & give a warranty, if they still take them. Something is better than nothing, but then at the Wulfman said, it can always serve as a backup.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to keep it as a backup. I'm not sure how many hours use this has but from the short conversation we had I'm assuming this has very few hours on it. I'll plug it in tomorrow and see how it's working.

Lift up on the front of the blower unit and it will detach from the humidifier. The blower sits on top of the humidifier. However, before you decide to use it without the humidifier, there's a little adapter you need to snap back on to the blower before the hose will attach. Many people lose this part, assuming the DME didn't lose it for them when they bought it.
