Updated Resmed Battery Guide

Post by billbolton » Fri Dec 16, 2011 4:16 pm

I discovered today that Resmed has finally updated their battery guide to cover use of S9 series systems with the 36970 DC/DC converter.

The new guide is dated October 2011 and can be found here ..... http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documen ... lo_eng.pdf

Cheers,

Bill

Very, very, interesting. Unless I'm missing something they're saying it takes significantly more amp hours to run an S9 on the converter than on an inverter. At least for the conditions that most closely match my use. These are copied directly from the new guide. The inverter part looks to be an exact copy of the previous guide. The numbers below contradict this statement under their description of converters: Why use a converter?
• The converter is more efficient than an inverter.

Using an inverter
• S9 Elite + H5i + Climate
control (EPR Setting 0, CC
setting 30° C)
• S9 AutoSet + H5i +
Climate control (EPR Setting
0, CC setting 30° C)
  • Pres Amps AH
    6 3.32 40
    8 3.78 45
    10 4.20 50
    12 4.71 57
    16 5.68 68
    20 6.49 78
Using a converter
• S9+ H5i + Climate control
(CC setting 30° C)
  • Pres Amps AH
    6 4.27 52
    8 5.08 61
    10 5.58 67
    12 5.77 70
    16 6.15 74
    20 6.59 79
