I REALLY would like to be able to read the data from my Resmed Auto Set Vantage.
My DME is utterly and completely worthless. They claim they can't read my data, because they "don't have the software loaded." I actually sent them my Smart Card and they kept it for 3 months, before sending it back to me with no comments attached.
Does anyone know how I can get the clinician's manual? Why is the data such a big secret?
Maybe someone knows how to work the buttons for just the rudimentary info? I have a sneaking suspicion I'm having "events" agin. Could be my mask.

Data
You shouldn't worry yourself with the data about how you're doing since you are just a mere mortal. You should leave this to those professionals in the know like your sleep doc and your DME.
So, DON'T CONFUSE YOURSELF!!!
That means:
1) DON'T hold the left and the right keys down for a few seconds until the screen says "efficacy data"
2) Don't use the up and down keys to scroll through your data including your 95% pressure (the pressure that your machine operates at or BELOW 95% of the night), your Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), your Apnea Index (AI) and your Hypopnea Index (HI), as well as your leak rate BEYOND the bias rate of the mask you have set in the settings menu (or your DME set for you). BTW, the indices all use the following formula: total # of events/total minutes/60=average events/hour AHI is apneas AND hyponenas, AI is apneas only, HI is hypopneas only.
3) DON'T use the left key to select data for the day, week, month, six months or year.
See how confusing this is??? SO DON'T DO IT!!!!
Cheers!
Chuck

Chuck has explained what you shouldn't do quite well. My DME also said the numbers would confuse me. Therefore, I found the clinician's manual available on Ebay. Now I can read the flow charts showing the menu items in the clinician's manual and be be amazed at how 19 years of education has failed me.
