Acne, chinstrap & mask straps

Post by Tigerlily » Sat Jul 12, 2014 12:09 am

I am prone to acne anyhow, but since wearing a chinstrap it is much worse! My chin acne is terrible and then I also break out in the areas on my cheeks covered by the straps and the mask straps. It makes me want to sleep without a chinstrap, but when I have my sleep is worse. So, I resort back to the strap and live with the acne. I sometimes use acne products first but I wonder if they will wear out the fabric on the chinstrap...

Anyone else suffer from the same thing? Advice?

Have you not tried Pad-a-Cheek liners? They should be able to make a difference.

I've also been having increased acne on my chin, I assume from the bottom of my full face mask causing increased moisture or oils there. I wasn't able to tolerate either of the liners as it made my mask feel too tight at the nose, and I don't think I can use any products without messing up the silicone. I've just been using my normal acne face wash before bed and rinsing well. Interested to see if anyone has suggestions. I'm thinking of trying to cut a RemZZZ liner to only have the bottom part, but then I might have to tape it to the mask. Best wishes.
