Hi all,
I have been happily using my swift fx for the past 3 months. I even returned an airfit pro, because there was not enough of a difference to justify the price. However, I have noticed over the past week that the lower strap on the back of my head really hurts my ears... It's not that it's too tight per se, just that it slips down over the back of my head so that it presses hard against my ears. I have not changed the tightness of the straps so I am confused about this. Does anybody have a similar experience? What did you do to remedy the problem?

Re: Swift FX hurting behind my ears
I'm not sure if this will help you, but I use the swift FX, too. When I tighten the top strap a notch or two, it raises the headgear up from the ear area a bit, thereby raising the junction of the upper/lower straps away from the ears just enough to be more comfortable. This may affect the fit of the lower strap and the tension on the nasal pillows, so you may need to do a little more adjusting. Also, maybe your headgear is stretching from use, and this might be affecting the fit.

Same problem here when I use the swift FX. The fat part of the headgear rests under my ears and squishes with the pillow hurting my ears. Only two solutions I can see: what violetpro suggested or use the p10. I switched to the p10 and no more ear pain upon awakening.

I'm confused; I thought the Swift FX was this mask:

Are you using the Bella loops, Bavink? Otherwise, how does it get under your ears?

Re: Swift FX hurting behind my ears
By under I meant between my head and ear vertically above my ears. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Swift FX hurting behind my ears
OK, the connection between the back band and the silicone strap sits a good inch or so above my ears;
so I have the opposite problem. It seems odd to me that they refuse to make different-size headgear,
lengthening or shortening the front portion to allow for different size faces.
That would be awesome, and would have allowed me to keep the Nano, which was so unstable it went back after two nights.
Thanks, ResMed, for listening--{{{sarcasm emoticon}}}

Ya, I found the nano completely unstable for me as well. I am having very good luck with the p10 though.
