Phillips Remstar System One Manual?

Post by Guest » Tue Apr 08, 2014 3:30 pm

Hello, all.

In January, I was fitted for the above-named machine, and I've been having great difficulty getting used to it and sleeping with it through the night.

First, I had a full mask. It worked fine until the pressure ramped up, whereupon the air would blow through the seals and wake me up, no matter how I adjusted the mask. Also, I'd get both hot and restless every couple of hours and wake up and have a hard time getting back to sleep.

So, I had doctor try a slightly lower pressure and got some nasal pillows. This worked a bit better, but now the machine itself doesn't ramp up at all. It stays at 6 the whole night, and often that's not enough to keep my nasal passages clear enough to breath through. I cannot get back in to the doctor's office for a few weeks to have the machine looked at.

So, I need to see inside the machine's settings and possibly change them. Is there any source for the necessary manual?

Thanks!

http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p ... tup-manual

Above link is where you can request the manual. Be sure to request the exact model of machine that you have.
Forget the Remstar part of the name...they use that on everything.

Hmmm, my DME gave me the provider's setup manual along with the other manuals.... that means once I'm confident enough to do so, they won't mind if I change my own pressure, etc? Or was it a mistake that I'm not going to tell them about?

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.

The dope from the DME left the Provider Guide to my Philips Respironics BiPap Auto Bi-Flex machine with all the other papers when she came to set it up...she was way more concerned about getting my $860 co-pay. I'm hoping I'll be able to adjust my settings again....I"ve lost some more weight and I wanted to try adjusting the pressures downward but for some reason the I suddenly don't have access to the menu. I'm assuming someone at the sleep doctor's office did something to the machine during my last visit in December.
