Daughter's Data with Sleepyhead

Post by SleepyonMagnoliaSt » Tue Mar 18, 2014 2:11 pm

I have no idea what's going on. She hasn't seen her sleep doctor since August (finally sees her on Thursday and I'll be taking the card) I'm wondering if DD needs a new titration study?

Are her numbers up because of leaks? I'm kind of at a loss here

That is what I think! I'm hoping her doctor will listen to my concerns!

The leaks do increase but I don't think they venture into large leak territory so I doubt they are the cause of the increased events.
I also think just a little more pressure is needed. Looks like some clustering too...probably REM stage sleep or maybe supine sleeping or maybe a bit of both. Just a little more pressure would likely do a better job holding the airway open and preventing the collapse of the airway.

Thank you for the info and opinions! I really do value them!

To know for sure if the machine thinks those leaks are in large leak territory you would need Encore software..it will flag time in large leak where SH doesn't.
If I remember right you have a Mac so we couldn't use Encore? If I am wrong and you want Encore just send me a private message and tell me what the operating system on the PC is...as I need to know to help get you the right version for the computer.

He will know what I mean.

What Windows version is on the PC...must be Windows..can't be anything else with Encore.

Got it. Give me a couple of minutes then check your private message box.

Alternately...you can check the machine's Info LCD display as it will at least tell you the % of time spent in large leak...if you see 0.0...no large leak flags.
I keep forgetting this option. It won't tell when they occurred..just if they occurred how much time was spent in large leak.

Well on one of the nights she had a higher AHI? Encore says no Major Leaks (if I'm reading this correctly)

So I'm thinking we DO indeed need a pressure increase

You are reading it correctly. If there were any major leaks it would be with the leak line up around 80 to 90 L/min and the darker green line (the LL green line at top of leak graph) would show a break and would be a light green in color.

And yes...needs a little more pressure..might be as little as 1 cm more...2cm maybe but not much more than that I would think.

Thank you Pugsy!! I need to remember to pull her card tomorrow to take it with us to the doctor! We're having issues with the doctors office too so I need to get that all squared away too
