I had to call and clarify a shipping problem last week with my DME.
While I had the young lady on the phone, I asked, since my insurance next year will not pay 100% for DME, if she could send me a price list with *MY* prices, not Anthem's.
She said "sure, just call us back when you get your card with the plan # so we can tell which flavour of plan you have. But frankly, you'd probably save money buying from CPAP-dot-com...".

I had something of that ilk.
As well as the Wisp ex Texas, I recently purchased a Zest Q through my DME.
Received a Delivery Note with pricing that had the Zest Q at $315 incl. headgear!!
My 'cost' ostensibly, was $60, however when I read the fine print it looked like if the insurance bailed out I could be stuck with the full price.
It was suitably vague to allow that.
So I rang the DME to clarify this & query the $315, & they said ", oh that's just the full retail, just ignore it!"
I was inclined to ask why the h-ll do you put it on a Delivery Note then & give folk cause for concern!!
But I bit my tongue & will wait for the actual invoice before I try the Zest Q.

Exactly.
There is some very weird pricing out there
This one may be going back to the DME

If the price is even vaguely close, I use cpap.com. Great service and knowledgeable people. Completely eliminates the hassle factor.

Re: Humerous exchange with my DME last week.
When I ordered a Wisp from Apria a few months ago I had some concerns my insurance wouldn't pony up, therefore I asked the Apria order rep what if I just don't open the package and return it if there's an insurance problem (it wasn't an emergency). The girl said, "Sorry, you can't return it once it's delivered to your door, unopened or otherwise. You will be billed for the product should insurance not cover the cost." I found this information hard to believe but haven't talked to a supervisor yet. Anyone else experienced this with Apria If it's true, it's an unbelievably dumb policy.95C4 wrote:There is some very weird pricing out there

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
Re: Humerous exchange with my DME last week.
Talk to the branch manager. Since you ordered it, I suppose they could charge a re-stocking fee, but if it's for price competitiveness, that's crummy.
They should absolutely take something back in an unopened container, unless they can show you a previously shared, posted policy about returns.
I would just refuse it at the door, and be sure not to sign for it first. If they bill you, simply ask for your signed receipt, which they will not have.
