iodine and kelp

I was just reading about the growing iodine deficiency problem, and wonder if anybody has tried eating kelp noodles, as kelp is supposed to have a high level of iodine. Since there has been some talk about thyroid problems, I thought there might be some interest in the effect of eating kelp on the thyroid.

In the maritimes people used to chew dulse all the time like chewing gum.

I like seaweed, especially Nori. One of my work lunch time items was instant japanese seaweed & tofu soups.

Most regular salt has iodine added for this reason.

Mmmm, nori. way more everything than spinach!

I have been taking Iodoral, which is a pill form of Logol's Solution.
