SleepyHead missing graphs

Post by rosacer » Wed Nov 20, 2013 6:54 am

Hi Y'all

A friend of mine installed SleepyHead weeks ago at my request because I wanted to help him improve his treatment.

He hasn't stop telling me there is no Leaks and Ins. Time Pressure. Yesterday I sent him screens from the place he need to go check (the list of graphs lower right corner) and he told me there is those graphs missing.

How can it be? What is the solution? Does he needs to uninstall and install again? I haven't ask him which version he installed.

Thanks

Rosie

What CPAP machine is he using?

And can you actually get a chance to see your friend's Sleepy Head report yourself?

He has a S9 CPAP data capable. He has printed for me the AHI, Session Time, Pressure and others from the tab Overview. No leak's graph
As far as I understand he is not bad with computers, she showed me how to access things at work.

Where are the graphs missing from...the daily detailed graphs or just the overview?
What SleepyHead version and build date?

Is that S9 an S9 Escape Auto by any chance????? Does your friend have a wave form graph?

The data you say your friend sees sounds like data the S9 Escape Auto records. But guess what, the Escape Auto does NOT record the leak data.

From the overview, he hasn't print the daily detailed graphs.
I will ask him to check on the daily and to find the SleepyHead version and build date.

I wouldn't be surprised he has a S9 Escape auto. What I know is that his is not like mine. He told me he pushes only one button to read his AHI, that is interesting I need to push the two buttons at the same time to access the full information on my machine's screen, do you know.

Thanks ladies, I will try to find the answers and I'll come back.

If he has the Escape Auto then that likely is the culprit though I thought SH couldn't do anything without the data files that the Escape doesn't have......
Does he get the event category breakdown for his AHI? If he does..it isn't the Escape Auto because all it gives is AHI in total.

The Overview section in SleepyHead always seemed buggy to me. Sometimes things worked and sometimes they didn't and I just shrugged my shoulders and moved on. I have never been someone who gets too wrapped up in summary and trend data anyway.
I just look at daily details and if the daily details are all acceptable then the summary stuff have to be acceptable too.

If he has the missing graphs in the daily detail graphs...it's a SleepyHead bug and I don't know if a re install will fix it or not.
He would have to remove the MyDocuments folder containing all the old reports and remember the SD card only saves the last 30 days of the detailed data so some old stuff might get totally lost.
Now if he just recently started using SH...the SD card will still have that data.

The most recent Windows version is 0.9.3 build date May 2013.

SleepyHead will generally show a rotating "Brick" cube with a sad face on it, and display a message in the Daily view stating it's a brick for machines that are utterly useless like the Escape and the PRS1 "Plus". I haven't retested brick data in a while though.

I'm planning on adding an Import wizard so SleepyHead automatically finds the data card location and gives a bit better feedback of import progress. Right now how it is is quite crummy.

In the case of bricks, it really should pop up a message at import saying: "Bleh, your machine is unfortunately a brick with a fan, and it's only real use apart from blowing unmanageable quantities of air up your nose, is to be thrown back at your xPAP equipment provider in protest for them supplying you with an inferior machine incapable of producing any useful data"

I have a Mac computer with the latest OSX. My version of sleepy head is 9.4 and I also have 9.3. With 9.4 the snor graph is not present in dailey, graphs. But is checked in preference. With 9.3 It is there.

Build date?? It's under Help/About SleepyHead..have to open SleepyHead to get it. It is not on the reports.

Are the graphs missing in the detailed daily graphs for each day as well as in the overview...or is it just the overview?

His machine isn't by any chance from another country?

ResMed EDF files come with codes in their native language.. SleepyHead has to translate before importing. (It currently supports Dutch, German, English and French machines, which are the only ones I've seen)

Some EDF channel names are always the same, but things like Leak are often different.

@ Pugsy

The graphs are missing on the daily graphs too. I sent him a message asking of the build date, he should be sleeping I think he works tomorrow morning.

@ jedimark

The machine was bought in Canada 3 or 4 months ago. I don't know if he has set the machine in French, I will ask him maybe that affects ? My machine is set in English and I have no problem.

His AHI was 5 last night very discouraging for him. His pressure was 12 when we started and now it is 12.8. I'm trying to help him to tweak the pressure but it is difficult to know what is the problem without the leaks graph. His AHI was improved, that AHI=5 should be the fault of your aliens Pugsy don't let them go visit the neighbors.

If the leak numbers themselves aren't very exciting we can probably safely assume the leaks aren't horrible.
How about we get him ResScan?
I will send you the link and you can send it to him.
