Pillows and Masks
I'm about three months into CPAP usage. When I started, the general advice I got was that if I could handle nose pillows without feeling I was suffocating, I should go that way (both from friends and my sleep doc). I did ask to try a nasl mask during my titration, but it was super uncomfortable and made a loud CLICK every time I breathed out. I've been using the Pilairo, and recently switched to Nuance pro, both of which were fine, but I'm not loving the nasal pillow experience (I sleep well, but I'm getting some nostril irritation, I don't love the way the thing feels on my upper lip (I know this is odd, but whatevs)). So I was wondering if I should try a nasal mask, or just stick it out; I wonder if there aren't more comfortable masks out there, and if they all make that clicking. I also thought maybe I could get a mask and switch back and forth to minimize irritation. Or are the pillows really just more comfortable?
Re: Pillows and Masks
My primary mask is a nasal mask, and there is no clicking. I find it to be so comfortable that I don't even notice wearing it. I did recently try the Nuance Pro (pillows) and I do like it. But still find my nasal mask the most comfortable. Maybe I just need to get accustomed to the pillows.

Re: Pillows and Masks
I see Pad a Cheek has a barrel cozy for the pilairo.
Maybe that would help.
(I wonder why a nasal mask would click; I've only heard clicking from full face masks.)
