Cannot download data to ResScan

Post by Papit » Thu Oct 10, 2013 9:14 am

I use ResScan 4.3.0.7081 that I just downloaded as the earlier software (same version issued perhaps a couple months earlier) was malfunctioning. Trouble is the newly downloaded ResScan software is having the same problem. I cannot get the software to accept my SD card sleep data downloads. SleepyHead, in comparison, accepts the download data without a problem. Any thoughts? ResScan's error message is "Unable to display data as the selected program was not used." Lately I've been downloading my data from my SD card every 3 or 4 days and I now notice that my attempted data downloads failed from 9/30 through 10/9. Mostly I look at SH and at other times I compare ResScan with SH.

Might my doc have asked ResMed to remotely disable my software? (I've been persistently writing to him to find out why my flow limitations are showing many maximum high spikes (every single night) using my 3 month old S9 VPAP Adapt) while my AHI is averaging about 1.0? (When I was using the S9 AutoSet for over a year my average AHI was 17 and flow limitations graph showed very low level spikes.)

Thanks.

No, ResMed can't disable your software remotely.. They don't have a clue who is using it.

At what point (what you're you doing) are you seeing the error message?
During the download...trying to bring up a report...???
Would you like to try version 4.2 to see if it will work?

Thanks, Pugsy. I get the error message right after downloading the data from my SD card when I click the Settings tab and the Statistics tab. When I click the Summary Graphs the historical data all shows up normally but not data shows for Sept 30 - Oct 10.

Interestingly, when I click the Detailed Graphs, all the data shows up including Sept 30 - Oct 10!

When I review the Browser Data column on the left, the usual column of horizontal orange bars appear up until Sept 29. From Sept 30 - Oct 09, a double peak horizontal 'zig-zag' line appears instead.

If you have the link for version 4.2, I'll be happy to give it a try. Thank you for the support on this.

Did you just install the new version of ResScan over the top of the old version or did you uninstall the old version first. I'd uninstall the old version completely and then install the new version.

I don't know if installing over the old version would be a problem or not but I have done it ever since version 3.16 (I think it was that one but for sure all the 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3) just by installing over the prior version without having any issues at all.
It's also odd that things were working fine and then all of the sudden they weren't....along with having some nights data and not others. Doesn't make sense. Software should either work or not work if there is a problem with the software..not have it work sometimes and not others. Intermittent problems are difficult to troubleshoot.
Wouldn't hurt to try a clean install though.

Try another SD card and see if it makes any difference. Maybe ResScan is a little more picky than Sleepy Head when it comes to downloading off of the card.
