Recently Diagnosed w/mild OSA, Trying Provent

Post by tirednks » Thu Aug 08, 2013 4:02 pm

Hello all,

I was recently diagnosed with mild OSA, not really wanting to use CPAP I have opted to try Provent Apnea Therapy patches first. Does anybody use EPAP only, for how long have you used them, when did you start to notice a difference in following day fatigue? Also, care to talk about how long it took you to adapt/tolerate them, did/do you have trouble placing them right so as to have no air leakage, adhesive problems? Any advise you'd care to share I would like to hear. I really want these to work......

If not...you might want to read the thread.

I don't know of anyone on this forum using Provent with success long term. We have had a few people use them short term when it wasn't feasible to use their cpap machines.
This is a cpap forum...so pretty much all of us use CPAP machines...
There maybe some successful Provent users out there but they don't hang around here with us.

FWIW...I did try them once..just to see what it was like. I had a horrible time with them...adhesive problems, fit problems and finally exhaling with them. I can't rest comfortably if I can't breathe easily and freely through my nose...I couldn't even get to sleep with them.
