Pulse oximeter needed ASAP

Post by hopingitworks » Fri Jun 07, 2013 2:58 pm

I haven't been on the forum because I have been attending to my wife who has cancer. She had a pulmonary embolism two weeks ago. She is being discharged to home today. I went to use my oximeter to make sure it was functional and the battery was dead. I replaced the battery and it still doesn't work. I need to get a pulse oximeter quickly to monitor her sat's overnight.

I used a cms-50+ before but I believe it took a week to get it delivered to Canada. I need one ASAP. Anyone know where I can get one quickly? I can get one from a local pharmacy but I won't be able to connect it to the computer and check out her sat's in the mornings.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know how close you are to a Costco but

I will add that I know nothing about that particular brand but it may be immediately available.

They don't have them at our local Costco. I may just order one of the expensive ones that can be ordered from the pharmacy here. They may not offer computer tracking (which is unbelievable given what they are asking for them) but right now time is of the essence! And the pharmacy said they could get one overnight.

Where on the Wet Coast are you? In the Vancouver area you might try some of the sleep clinics. I've used Clinical Sleep Solutions for over 10 years. There's also LifeSupply.ca located on Hastings. They charge an arm and a leg, but they may have memory models in stock.

But you still don't know if you could do this with any of them: I can get one from a local pharmacy but I won't be able to connect it to the computer and check out her sat's in the mornings.

But you could set the alarm on it to sound if the De-Saturation level drops below lets say 80%.

Are you ready to spend $875 to buy the real device for the S9? If yes then see this:
