The Maloof is the pillow my husband uses with successful leak control finally. We bought the high loft firm but it was too hard so exchanged it for the plush. He wears a full face mask and it stays in place. I think I followed John's suggestion awhile ago so thank you!.

It also seemed to work good for this therapy, too, so I've continued to use it. A couple of times since I started this therapy I've tried using a "regular" (fiberfill) pillow out of curiosity and had horrible mask leaks.

The nice thing is that you can regulate the amount of water in them to keep the head, neck and back in alignment and as a comfort (firm/soft option) feature.

.
Am considering the Mediflow waterbased pillow.

Some reviews online (Amazon & others) complain about it leaking water.

Are these just people who don't know how to seal it properly after filling it with water? Or, is this a potential problem?

5 Quarts of water coming out of the pillow could be a problem for the mattress & boxspring.

We've never had any problems with the ones we have (2).
I use about a half gallon of water in mine (I have a gallon plastic jug with a line drawn on it to verify the amount when I decide to change the water in it).
The screw-in plug has a neoprene "O" ring.
I'm guessing the "leakers" are idiots.
