what is latest on heated hose

Post by packer » Sat May 25, 2013 12:00 pm

I have PR1 with aussie heated hose-- works great everyday for long time

I suppose I am lazy, not wanting to pack and unpack, set up PR! etc- anyhow I have my old cpap [ m series apap] which I got out of closet and set up for
overnights in hotel- except I was with out heated hose and about drowned with rainout. [ use twilight NP- very rainy!]

so-- what is cheapest and best for heated hose? just pony up the bucks and buy another aussie? have it for travel and a spare?
thoughts??

Is this cheaper than the Aussie?
I bought this one for Hubby's travel machine.

Buy a new Aussie ... Use the new one on your "regular" machine, use your old one to travel ...

spent some time looking around internet-- there is a heated hose for the respironics m series and PR1 that does not have "brick" for plugging in

does anyone have one of these-- how does it plug in?-- does it work as well as regular aussie heated hose?

Don't know which one you found?
So can't compare it to anything.
Which one did you find?

sleep zone website [ can I say that here?] they have their regular hose [ like I have used for years] and the one for m series and pr1

looks like it plugs in off the power to the unit

Okay, I see what you mean now. I went to the Aussie hose part of Sleep Zone.
I have no idea how that one for the M Series works in regards to power from the M Series.
I haven't had an M Series machine in a long time so I don't remember the connections available.
It must work some how though. If you want to do without the power brick for a heated hose then that would be the way to go.
I knew about the regular Aussie hose but wasn't aware of the hose made especially for the M series.
The Hybernite 2300 heated hose has a brick power supply. That's the one I got a while back because it was less expensive than the Aussie hose. I was happy with it but then I wasn't lugging the brick around all over the place either.

I think that is what I will do-- the new hose could be backup for the PR1 as well according to the site-

use the old m series for travel with the new hose with out brick sounds good to me- the m series still works fine

it is nice to grab the bag and take off for a couple days without having to take apart and pack

after i get it I will let board know how it works etc packer
