SleepStyle 600 Model: HC608: Error Codes

Post by tjc » Mon May 20, 2013 7:48 pm

Today I awoke to find E 8 staring at me from the little LCD on the CPAP. I have had it 4 years and this is the first time it has spat the dummy. I have searched the manual, web sites, and only found one example of an error code being mentioned for this product and it was on this web site. Unfortunately it was E 2 so I'm still in the dark. For those who have an E 2, apparently it reflects moisture/liquid in the works and by removing 6 screws you can gain access to the electronic board and dry it with your hair dryer, leave it to settle and then your back in business.

Now this error code: E 8. The CPAP blew cold air all night, the heating plate was cold to the touch, so I presume E 8 means that the heating element has died. I am seeing the tech this afternoon and will post the results of that experience afterwards. I would like to generate a list of all the error codes, on this Board, for future reference. Looking forward to uninterrupted sleep!

Additional Comments: After 4 years it has thrown its first error message: E8. As the heating plate is cold I suspect that the heating element has died.

Listing your error codes for the F & P model 608 may be interesting, but there are only a couple people (that I recall) that use this CPAP.
