That is really interesting. I'm having my eyes examined next week. I'm going to print out the study and ask my doctor I'd she sees any increased tortuosity. It would be wonderful if a simple eye exam could give a person an early heads up on OSA.

Interesting....I wonder if there is an increase in Dry Eye Syndrome? I struggle with this. Anyone else?

More to ask your eye docs:

Continuous positive airway pressure therapy is associated with an increase in intraocular pressure in obstructive sleep apnea:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18326715

Ocular findings in sleep apnoea patients using continuous positive airway pressure:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19680276

It all depends on your own eyes' situation, i.e. you can't compare from person to person.

Probably due to the constant hypocapnic excersions.

That's really interesting. Especially since it's likely to be something that will measure your apnea over a long time interval, not just a few night's sleep.

Sort of like A1C for diabetes.

I suspect that we're a long way from a practical use for this, though. Maybe some eye doctors will get the clue and recommend certain patients get tested for apnea.
