yea!!!! Im getting a new S9 bipap ?

Post by roadkingrick » Thu Mar 21, 2013 11:52 pm

So I was told to get a new bipap by my insurance co. and I asked for an S9, but what I didnt know is they try to get them with a heated hose? Any thoughts on that? Also I didnt realize hat there were so many models, whats the diff between st and st-a now Im not sure. Again any S9 ers out there ? Should I request one over the other and by the way anyone got one of those skin-it covers?

Yes, a few of the forum members have sprung for the new skin it things.

There are several S9 Bilevel machines (ResMed calls them VPAP)...

The S9 VPAP Adapt for people with central issues.

The S9 VPAP ST and ST-A for people needing help with back up rates and ventilation.

These above are the higher end more expensive machines. You may or may not be needing one of those depending on your problem. What machine are you using now?
If it is a plain bilevel machine like I use then you don't likely need one of those other high dollar machines.

If you can get a heated hose...get one. It makes for a lot more customization of the humidity and temperature.

The climate control hose is pretty cheap. Great addition.

That's not a S9 model...that's an S8 model.
The S9 models don't have 25 in the name.
Don't get the S8 model......
