Question...

Post by MichelleRae » Sun Apr 23, 2006 1:50 am

Do you know if insurance companies will cover the cost of smart card readers and software? I'm just curious because I'd like to look at my sleep reports. Just thought I'd check before shelling out to buy it myself

I've never heard of it happening, but someone else might know. Your best bet is to ask your co. (because they are all different).

I've heard/read about a couple of people managing to sneak it in "under the radar", but that is unusual. Plan on paying for it out-of-pocket.....but the most important thing is to GET IT. It's well worth the money and you'll be able to monitor and fine tune your therapy.

Best wishes,

I asked the exact same question about 5 months ago

software / insurance question

Interestingly, I got the same answer from some of the same members of this forum. (Thanks Den!). I will add that it is one of the best investments I have made in the "medical equipment" category. You will find it useful and enlightening.

The encore pro and myencore software is invaluable.

The software along with card reader.......and aussie heated hose should be listed as necessities as far as I am concerned.
