I have the Profile Lite Gel Mask, I've been using it for 3 years now. But I've been thru about 8 of them. The Gel Spacer for the forehead keeps getting all sticky and sticking to my forehead and hair like putty or something. The Medical Supply place now says they are not giving me another one because it is costing them too much money. They say no one has ever had a problem such as mine. They just can't replace the gel spacer...they say they have to replace the whole mask. Well they cost 10.00 for two of them on this site. How cheap can you get. Now today I get this mask sent to me that leaks with headgear that keeps coming loose. Going to call my doctor. He'll straighten them out. Has anyone ever had a problem with the gel spacers
Mad like hell in Florida.
Profile Lite Gel Mask
By my calculations, assuming you are entitled to a NEW mask every 3 months, your DME is ahead of the game with only 8 masks given to you! Three years x 4 masks per year = 12 masks, right? And even if they only give out a new mask every 6 months, that only puts you up by 2 measely masks. You are 100% correct, they are being very unreasonable.

For what it's worth my DME said they will not send just the silicon or gel only a complete mask, which I thought was ridiculous, so I got a listing of DME;s that take my insurance and called them one by one til I found one that would just send that part. So I don't have to pay out anything. My insurance company said that I can deal with any DME, even 100 miles away if they take my insurance. So for the future if there is a mask that I want that the local ones don't handle (like the Aura) I will call around until I find someone that does.
So I guess the bottom line is call anothe DME
